Q: All, I see that the description includes hardwood floors, but was hoping to get a few opinions from those who have actually used it on their own HW?

The previous owner of my home was a handyman and I have not redone the floors. That being said I have hardwood, tile (multiple styles), laminate and carpet. This broom is a GIFT on all of these surfaces. I have four dogs, two who shed their undercoat twice a year and without this broom my life would be way worse. I LOVE this broom. I love it so much I bought two. I have also used it on my turf outdoors. Best broom ever.

Q: Will this broom help to loosen cat hair embedded near the wall edge of Berber carpet?

Hi Susan - About cat hair and your Berber carpet - If the hair is sitting on the surface of the carpet and not entangled in the hook of the Berber - Here is what I would do - spray water on the surface so the hair become damp and are more likely to stick together. Then I would use the flat side of this rubber broom. The flat side acts in the same way a wiper does to clear a window of water. You would be raking the fur into a pile..then physically picking it up. I love this broom...use it all of the time. Friends and family are amazed when then see how easy it is to scrape dust, dirt etc all into a pile. When you use a broom, debris gets lost in the straw of the broom and often gets redistributed. Back to your question. I have another Amazon purchase that I love. It is a Black and Decker 18 (I think) Volt rechargeable hand vacuum. It has a nozzle that would suck up dry cat hair. Then you would empty the plastic waste container...which is easy to do. What I think would work well is a damp sponge in hand... wiping the baseboard as well as the carpet. Tossing the hair in a trash bag. Remember the hair is on the surface and you don't want to embed the hair in the Berber. Just wipe it, clear it, vacuum off the top. Q: How well does this work on carpets? I have a long-haired dog and have to clean the vacuum brush weekly.

My two dogs have a particular rug they like to lay on so it's always coated in dog hair. I had high hopes for this for quick cleanups and not have to vacuum that rug every day. I was super disappointed. The rug is dark and the dog hair is light so I know it's there, but hardly any hair was picked up, I got more with wetting my hand and wiping it.

Q: Will this work on short, coarse dog hair? Thanks!

Brush good, pole weak

Product works very well. The pole is very weak with the amount of pressure you need. I purchased a smaller pole or use the brush by hand. That works works amazing on a short length carpet.

Totally ineffective

Bought it to remove pet hair... tried using it with pressure as well but not even 5% furr came off. And sadly it's a nonrefundable item so basically I lost my money for nothing... it will be lying in my storage!!!

Its ok but i expected better for the price you pay

The broom is solidly built, the telescopic handle is great.However the brush bristles are too short and impede sweeping when you push the broom. the top of the broom will tend to catch the floor every once in awhile.I've used other rubber broom with longer bristles and they are easier to use and catch more dirt.Its annoying and disappointing.They also don't mention the depth of the bristles in any of the advertising pictures or text, and in the pictures the bristles look a decent length.They are not...
