Batman: Earth One

Product was delivered on time and in good condition. The story itself is ok, not the best Batman storyline but a good take on the origin nonetheless.

A guy who wears armour needs armour.

This book is so good, it made me want to buy Vol.2, Vol.3, and what ever earth one comic book there is.

『ゴッサムシティの名家に生まれながら、ある夜、両親を強盗に殺された少年ブルース・ウェインは 長じて悪徳はびこるゴッサムシティを救うため活動を開始する。 犯罪者に”恐怖”を与えるために、蝙蝠の衣装を身にまとって―――』 上記有名オリジンを沿いながら、しかし全くの別設定でアレンジを加えることで生まれた新たなバットマン。 常人ながら誰からも畏れられる『バットマン』は存在しない。 蝙蝠の扮装をした、ただ未熟な『ブルース・ウェイン』がいるのみ。 皮肉を言いつつ、若き主人をサポートする『執事』は存在しない。 成り行きで後見人となり、一生のトラウマを背負った少年の人生を危ぶむ『老人』がいるのみ。 バットマンおなじみのキャラクターの色をガラリと変えればここまで印象が変わるものかと驚きました。 (あの”刑事”には笑ってしまったが、ストーリーを読み進めて納得) ジェフ･ジョーンズお得意の父子とも師弟とも取れるブルースとアルフレッドの関係をはじめ、 腐敗したゴッサムが”彼ら”によって変えられていくドラマを楽しめます。 そしていつもながらゲイリー・フランクらのアートは超一級品。 どこまでも冷たく、しかしささやかな温もりを秘めた闇のなんと美しきことか。 絶望と苦悶、そして希望と決意を噛み締めた人物のなんと魅力的なことか。 続編決定との事ですが、やはりこのコンビの続投を期待したいものです。

Being a huge fan of Comic books, I decided I should really start reading Batman Comics, so I thought why not start from the begining. When i first picked up this comic book, i knew i was going to like it, but boy 'o' boy was i wrong....I absolutely loved it, the art work is extraodinary, the story line is brilliant, i think i read the book in less the half an hour without putting it down. By far the best comic i have ever read. Also the ending of this comic will leave you dieing to read more! Overall i am very satisfied with this product, arrived in about 3 days and was brilliant!
