Would this work to thin an oil paint to a sort of weathering wash?

getting a water base product to mix with oil , does not sound like it would work . I really don't know

Do you need to use this with vallejo model air paints? aren't they pre-thinned?

even though most model paint manufactures pre thin air brush paints , I find they ALL need some form of extra thinning. it's just the way it is.

Yes but it doesn’t mix as well. I’m assuming there is something in the thinner that makes the pigment spread. I use water to blend paints, but I use thinner if it’s drying out or if I want it to flow better in the airbrush. I use this a lot for airbrushing primers.
