Superb
This is the (current) definitive book of Radiohead music. I'm a piano player but the chord info helps to build the basics of each song. I can read music (badly!) but I like taking the chord sequences and creating the sound of a song, which to me is fun and rewarding. I had tried to work out some of the songs using info from videos but that particular Radiohead sound wasn't there, despite playing what appeared to be the right chords. Using this book I have realised that it is all about the way the chords are manipulated, eg with 7ths and 9ths. It's interesting that I would normally play a standard C7 as C-E -G - Bflat but here the 7ths are semitones not tones, eg B natural. It makes such an interesting sound! Perhaps that's obvious, but it's like a major revelation for me! The only criticism I would level at the book, which is true of every thick-ish sheet music book I have, is that you have to really manipulate the spine to be able to get the book to stay open when playing. I can't be the only person driven mad by this, can I? That apart, the book has art, all the songs and is authorised by the band. What's not to love?

Like a work of art
This book is so beautiful I almost wanted to put a "please don't touch" label on it. But instead I keep it on my coffee table and nobody can resist looking through it and being awed. You can see Radiohead's typical attention to detail everywhere, everything designed specifically for this book. There's no mistaking that it's "official," and Stanley Donwood's involvement is obvious. The book itself is super high quality with a thick glossy cover, heavy paper stock, and vivid images. The artwork, split into two sections and arranged by era, is beautiful and includes many I've never seen before. At nearly 400 pages, there are so many songs it's almost overwhelming. And when they say complete they mean it -- they even include songs that were done as side projects like "I Want None of This" and "Spectre". The official lyrics for the entire catalog are invaluable, since so many of the lyric websites get them wrong. Regarding the book's arrangement, I really liked that the B-sides and rarities were included with the albums with which they were recorded, not thrown together at the end in a separate chapter. It has an index that's very useful given the number of songs. There's even an index of "first lines" of each song, which is one of my favorite parts, almost like a game or quiz. For the musicians, there are a few pages explaining how to read and use the guitar chords. All said, if there's one "must-have" for any Radiohead fan, I would say this is it. When I first saw it I thought it might be a simple songbook only for musicians, but that's not the case at all. "Radiohead Complete" describes it perfectly. I'll definitely be buying a few more to give as birthday and christmas presents.
