Make Life Beautiful

Was disappointed there were no photos within the book and that the actual book is smaller than expected. Overall, I did not pay full price for the book which is a plus and the book looks lovely as a decor item on my shelf. Lovely book cover.

I was excited to receive this book as I love all of the McGees home designs from their Netflix series to their Target home wares!I was a bit surprised it was more of a novel than a book with pictures! However as I began to read their story of how it all began & how their love for design catapulted them onto their interior design business - I realized this was more advantageous than just looking at home decor pictures. I feel more empowered to live a beautiful life and not just have a designer home! A good read and uplifting as well!

Me encanto, súper divertido, inspirador y motivador. Me gusto conocer todo el detrás de las escenas de esta pareja tan exitosa. No se nació siendo profesionales ni exitosos y saber cómo trabajaron, sufrieron y se esforzaron en conseguir lo que tienen. Lo leí en menos de dos semanas porque no podía dejar de leer.

It's not really about interior design but about how they built their "business" (working for cheap, posting pictures pre-instagram and therefore having lots of traction when Instagram picked up), so well, merely luck for them. Just like companies in the dot-com boom were not that good but were just at the right place in the right time.Also they rant a lot about their love story. I don't really care to be honest? If you want to learn something The Interior Design Handbook or Homebody are way better picks.
