I just recently purchased this as a replaced after the previous one that I had for many years sprang a leak at one of the seams. It reduces the arthritic pain I get in my neck. When I use it I don't need to take any other medication. It fits perfectly around my neck and stays cold for a long time.

The Chattanooga ColPac - Reusable Gel Ice Pack was helpful in every way possible in minimizing my stiff and sprained neck. At that time, I didn't know that cold packs like these would actually exist and that this "cold therapy" would actually work until I gave it a go. Before these were actually introduced me, when I usually get stiff neck from waking up on the wrong side of bed or sprained my neck from head movements too fast, I usually try to ride it out throughout the day by minimizing head movements until I get the chance to finally lay on my bed. Enter the Chattanooga ColPac. You put these gel icepack in the freezer and let it gather up its coolness. In an event where I sprain my neck or get a stiff neck, I whip this pack out of the freezer, and wrap it around my neck like a scarf and start my "cold therapy" session. At first try, I thought it was uncomfortable because I wasn't used to this. However, as I kept it longer in my neck and gave a deep breath and meditated, I somehow felt relaxed and the coldness that surrounded my neck, slowly made my stiff neck feel little by little, free. The Chattanooga ColPac have been helpful throughout the years of ownership (2015). The quality of the surrounding gel felt a quality as it has never punctured a hole on me or exploded on me. The gel retained its slushy properties as it never froze while it has retained to coolness around it. I find this as a setting it in the freezer and forget it type of item and when you need it, you can use it immediately, knowing that it has been chilled for your next use.

I purchased this ice pad on July 29 2022; today is Nov 5 and the ice pad has leaked. A much shorter life span for this product than expected. My wife has an ACL rupture on July 2and she had ACL reconstruction surgery on Oct 7. So she has to ice her knee 4-6 times daily. This oversize is big enough to wrap around the area and the thick gel can hold the coolness long enough (up to an hour). Because its thick gel, it's easy to shape thus providing carpet-like close to skin coverage (better than those with bead-shape gels). However, its vinyl has very strong plastic smell! Lack of a Velcro belt to hold it in place is another disadvantage when putting it onto shoulder as its heavy weight would slip off easily.

Good-sized cold pack. Used post-op shoulder surgery, fits nicely. Durable vinyl, used multiple times a day for 2 months, held up perfectly.

Update 6/28 It fell off my shoulders today when I stood up. I thought it landed in something so I cleaned it off but then my hand was covered in grey goo. Was great while it lasted i guess I get a lot of pain from stiffness in my upper neck and shoulders and I've found that ice works more than heat for me. I purchased a cheaper ice pack but it broke at the seam and when i exchanged it the new one did the same thing and I believe it's because they werent meant to be left in the freezer. For me I need it to always be frozen because I never know when I'm going to need or want it. I do wish this one stayed cold a little bit longer but it will do about 20 minutes or so. Its great for when I'm outside on the balcony in the Florida heat. It drips a bit but I don't mind it, use a towel if you don't want to get went or wipe down the ice pack really well. 4 stars because my shoulders are a little bit on the wider side, im 5'10 and as a lady ill just say I can stand to lose a few pounds so I feel like it doesn't hang quite as low as I would like in the back but it doesn't fall off like others I've tried and I hate the ones with a strap so I can't really complain too much

These are really great! They were recommended by my physiotherapist for my knees. Although they are typically for the neck and shoulder area, these are perfect for knees too…👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

انا كنت طالبه col bac جت ماركه مختلفه غير الكنت مختراها ولما سويت عمليه استرجاء مكتوب ان المنتج دة لا يسترجع حبيت اجرابها طلعت سيئه جدا انا جيبها للبرودة للركبه وكمان ثقيله جدا المفترض مايكون وزنها ثقيل

kept it in the Chatanooga bag/zipped & frozen Used it right away on : neck, shoulder to blade, wrap around : forearm, calf, knee, shin, thigh use for small dog to keep her cool on hot days.. ( no dog pool).
