does this come with the string? description says yes but some reviewers saying no

When New, the book comes with a string. The item we have in our inventory does not include the string. It is a Used book and often when we get books like this, we do not receive the materials that are supposed to come with them. I can only speak for the item in our inventory, not those that other sellers have.

I especially liked the fact that the book is spiral bound

I bought this as a gift for an 11 year old and she has had hours of amusement from it. The diagrams are really clear and colourful. I especially liked the fact that the book is spiral bound, so you can open to a page and it will stay there without closing again. This useful when your hands are occupied with the string! The included string is good quality and still going strong after many months - no fraying at all. I would definitely recommend this book; it’s a good, old fashioned pastime.
