Not my cup of tea
Not bad read but not overly good. I was interested in the theme of the H in love with OW. In the beginning the book was engaging but as the story went I found it a bit too naive It can be OK though for some other readers of the genre. One can find a bit of history lecture and women emancipation issues but delivered in that naive manner that is not appealing to me but may be funny for others

Magnolia.......an almost enticing romance novel
Magnolia by Diana Palmer was almost an enticing romance novel. Claire was by far the most interesting character. She drove and repaired her Oldsmobile motorcar, which she inherited from her uncle. She became a sought-after fashion designer and developed many friendships with the well-to-do.She married John Hawthorn, who was in love with a married woman named Diane. The marriage between John and Claire was one of convenience. John, in my opinion, was a boring wishy washy type of character. Why an adult man would feel that he was betraying Diane by having affection for his own wife was weird. He was a graduate of the Citadel and Harvard and was considered to be brilliant....no personality, just brilliant.Magnolia was a nice read.

okay read
This book started off really good but couldn't keep the pace. It was interesting to see the love triangle byplay, but it also put the hero in a bad light because he looked like an idiot for being in love with the un-worthy other woman for most of the book. She seriously made him look like a fool. I see that some of my friends have this book on their cheating and rake shelves, but there were no cheating in this book and the hero was definitely not portrayed as a rake. The kiss that took place between him and the other woman was forced upon him by her. He was just an honorable man that was still in love with his ex, but in no way was he a rake or cheated. I guess if you count emotional cheating as infidelity, then yes he was guilty of that. It was my first DP and an ok read for me.

Huge fan of Diana Palmer writing. This book is ...
Huge fan of Diana Palmer writing. This book is in line with her set up of romance. They meet, he is mean or unfeeling towards her but needs her for something, then she leaves and he doesn't have a clue why and then OMG, he gets it and they live HEA! DP usually has the man rather tacky towards the woman and this one was no exception. Woman stands up for herself in this one and isn't a doorstop. She does have her moments and he does recover being mean fairly quickly in this one.

Love conquers all
a woman in love with a man and he not return it became almost unbearable to Claire and watching another woman flaunt herself in front of almost everyone almost drove her away I enjoyed this romance novel with all its turns and mystery of theft of money and a chase to find the truth. thanks to many good friends all ended well. this book was easy to follow and well written with a plot that held my interest and in as blue to put it down. PrAise to Diana Palmer for another good read.

Timely delivery.
An earlier book. Male as usual as total butt. Still, all in all, a good book.
