The Velociteach All-In-One PMP Exam Prep Kit: Based on the 5th edition of the PMBOK Guide (Test Prep series) Fifth Edition, Fifth edition

Shipping details indicated 5 business days and I received this in three (including a weekend), amazing shipping! I am sitting for my exam on December 7th, currently enrolled in formal PMI study group while reading the PMBOK v5 and Rita Mulcaheys PMP Exam prep 8th edition. On a preliminary basis, it appears the Velociteach All in One Exam kit will CRUSH the Rita manual for content in prepping for the exam. Bottom line, there are some people who need additional aides to study (like me) and others who can simply read the PMBOK and pass. I told others yesterday, this Andy Crowe kit is like a PMP Boot Camp rolled into a box where the end-user can read at their leisure (versus 8 hours per day for X amount of days in a Boot Camp) with traditional "fire-hosing" of information.This kit includes all you need, book, flashcards, six audio CD's, the reference guide (great for your exam brain dump) and online practice exams. I welcome any questions as I pride myself of prudent purchases.I sincerely believe every person pursuing their PMP should purchase this item, if they're serious about having the three letters PMP after their name. Also, another review listed this as having only 500 MB on the audio CDs, well, to correct him, its actually 743.8 MB

Passed PMP with this as my primary study tool. Book is good and tells you what to focus on. CDs are a verbal refresher on the daily commute. I could take or leave the flash cards, for studying purposes you would be better off making your own. To prepare for exam I read book 2x including glossary and all questions. Questions in the book seem to be too easy compared to what the test was like. I took about 3-400 practice questions online days prior to test including the code that came with book. Online questions that are accessed with the code are much more challenging and better practice.I would recommend. Way cheaper then boot camp and is done on your time.

The disappointment was with the audio CDs. Listened to all of them since I like study in that way while driving or doing chores around the house and such. Unfortunately, the CD's (titled "Conversations") are truly just that, 3 project managers having causal conversation and mostly sharing their informal / personal thoughts rather than a literal explanation of what it would be on the PMP test. One guy kept making up his own acronyms for things (not on the test / just his personal thing) while another actually tried to explain concepts by using "Lord of the Rings" analogies. I found myself getting repeatedly angry at how I felt like my time was being wasted as I kept having wait for the ongoing chit chat and jokes to end, or having to listening to minutes long analogies that could just be a few seconds of simply stating the literal definition (like what is "triage", can describe in one to two sentences / no need for minutes long analogies). What I was hoping for was to literally have an audio version of the included test manual itself, not 3 dudes laughing, joking, and informally chit chatting for hours.

I purchased The Velociteach All-In-One PMP Exam Prep Kit and used it along with RMC's book, and Head First's PM book (I did not take a PMP prep class). I found the CD's to be very helpful. I listened to them every time I was in the car--I went through them many times. The flash cards were also helpful. Tips and tricks in the book were very on target for the exam. The free full length online exam was substantially harder than the actual PMP exam. PMP Exam Simulator exam questions were more on-par. I scored in the high 60's with the free Andy Crowe test (both times I took it) and in the high 80's with the four PMP Exam Simulator tests I took. I passed on the first time with a "proficient" rating. I enjoyed the materials.

Last Monday I passed the PMP certification exam. The PMP prep. kit was recommended by a friend. I read the book cover to cover and listened to all the CD's. I then used the summary folder enclosed in the kit to recreate the table listing the 47 processes within the knowledge areas and correlating process groups. It is very important to be able to recreate the inputs, tools and outputs as well. Lastly, make sure you understand and can write down all the EVMS, communication and pert. equations required. I worked hundreds of practice problems until I was proficient enough to take the exam successfully (80% correct).This is a great study program. You have to be disciplined and make sure you know the material as PMI structures project management before taking the exam. Do not simply rely on your years of experience as a project management. Again, this PMP prep. kit is exceptional and will serve you well. - Matt Crocker

I regularly used the CDs. A lot of casual friendly banter kept it light and fun to listen during my commute.All the metaphors / analogies where catchy and easily got registered in the memory. Helped me understand the overall flow.However I was not a big fan of cards so didn't use them.The book and tests are light. May be sufficient. One needs to surely attempt harder questions during mocks than easier ones.This will help take care of stress and anxiety during the real exam.

This book is a savior. Couldn't have passed the exam without it. Read it cover to cover. Clear explaination of concepts. Helps to understand how each input tools techniques link within and across processes. Coverage on quant for the pmp exam is on point. The questions, the flashcards, the book content all complement each other. And especially the definition of all the pmp principles at the end of the book is terrific.

I read this book cover to cover and used the quick reference guide to study just before the test amd I passed on my first try. This book is straight forward and easy to read amd tells you exactly where to focus your efforts.

I am finding this prep kit to be very useful. The CDs are easy to listen to and the summary chart is great for tracking where I'm at in my tudyin based on whether or not I am familiar with the key content from each section. I would definitely recommend this kit.

Extremely comprehensive material. When readin it one does not feel as if reading a super boring content. If you are looking for the right preparation material this is the one to get.

The book is very well organised. It is a good companion to the PMBOK. After reading this, the PMBOK makes much sense.

It's the best PMP Exam Preparation kit... I highly recommend it.
