| Warranty Description | Compass products by hubbell lighting, inc, are warranted to be free from defect or workmanship and materials when used as intended for a period of 1-year from the data of purchase. Fuses and lamps are excluded from all warranties. Batteries must be placed in service or recharged within 9-month from invoice date or 90-day from recommended recharge data stamped on carton, whichever is longer(nicd batteries excluded). The warranties are subject to proper installation and maintenance in accordance with the instructions supplied. Any abuse or misuse contrary to normal operation shall void this warranty. Hubbell lighting, inc. Assumes no responsibility for any damage resulting from improper installation or maintenance of its life safety products. Warranty coverage shall not apply to any equipment of another manufacturer used in conjunction with compass systems and does not cover damages caused by abuse, fire or acts of god. To obtain prior written approval of return defective items, please contact your local manufacturer's representative. After prior written notification and approval obtained for the return, merchandise may be returned, freight prepaid to hubbell lighting. Customer is responsible for secure packaging of returned material . If upon inspection, the merchandise is found to be defective replacement or repair shall be made. The sole responsibility under this warranty is to repair or replace the defective parts or products. All other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability or warranties of fitness for any particular purpose we hereby disclaim. Good replacement fixture
Packaging has a bit to be desired, arrived with a broke cover (luckily not needed for my application). The back needs to be drilled if you're not going to top-mount it. It uses a lot less energy than the old incandescent bulb-type. The emergency lights aren't very bright, but they'll suffice for your standard power-outage situation.
