This sunblock is recommended and sold by the American Association of Nude Recreation -- and they should know. And two 4-oz bottles each were given to us passengers on a two-week rafting trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon in June, and we were told that one small bottle per week was enough to give us complete protection under a really harsh sun (no one burned). I've used it now for two years and now buy it in 32-oz bottles. What I like are that it is non-greasy and non-oily (big difference between what you buy elsewhere) so once it sinks in, in a few minutes, your skin is dry; it resists water; it resists sweat; it lasts all day (they say 8 hours which is the same). I've researched this, and as far as I can tell it is the only lotion that does not come off in swimming pools and clog the filter. And as you've gathered a little bit goes a long way; you are supposed to slather on conventional oily sun cream like cake frosting; this goes on as a thin coat. So it's all I use now.

I have used this product for a many years and have always loved it. This time, it seemed like the sunscreen was old and was very difficult to pump out - much too thick. I almost returned it, but it was too much trouble. Please notify the company of my problem.

The sun screen itself works very well. Unfortunately, the pump didn't work at all. I have to pull the pump out of the bottle and wipe the stem onto my hand or arm in order to get the sun screen out of the bottle.

This stuff is amazing! I bought the jumbo pump bottle at the direction of my dermatologist and it kept our family burn free all summer. We placed it on the counter and each day the kids got slathered before they went outside. It goes on like regular lotion (not thick and greasy) and doesn't smell bad. I will be purchasing this again next Spring.

Have been using this product for the past 3 years and would not use anything else. It goes on like a skin lotion and lasts (for us) all day. No burnig, no stinging in the eyes. We use it for snow skiing, hiking, river rafting, biking and everything outdoors. My kids use it as beach life guards and also swear by it. Can't think of anything bad regarding Solar Defense...ok, we use it so much I would like to get it cheaper. Bottom line - it's great.

This is all we use! We have been using since 1995. We were in Vegas during record heat. We were out all day red hair and freckles not a burn at all! If you are active outdoors doesn't run into eyes when sweating. That's important in a bicycle

Best sunblock ever. I randomly asked a stranger on the beach for some sunblock several years ago, and she sold me on this stuff. I finally caved and bought a huge bottle. Hopefully it will last me a couple years.
