Cute Sheep Wool Dryer Balls XL for Laundry (Set of 6) - Reusable Fabric Softener and Natural Drying Aid

Hmmm.... I really don't understand how reviewers are reporting that these balls help with static cling?!?! I gave mine their first try this morning - they did shorten the drying time by moving the clothes around a lot more, which is great, but when I pulled out the dried clothes they were totally stuck together - a static mess. So, I tossed the load back into the dryer with a damp towel and a couple of dryer sheets and ran the drier again. Much better! Like many of the reviewers, I'd love to quit using the dryer sheets, but this sure doesn't seem to be the answer. I don't understand how this worked for other people. ???

The balls smell like sheep...I put them in the sun and in the dryer to get rid of the smell, but they still smelled. I had to put the scented oil on them, use them twice, then they were OK. Other than that, the balls are great.

I started using these dryer balls instead of liquid fabric softener. I am here to say it is the best investment I have made in home products. My clothes are as soft as when I use the liquid, but the feel of the clothing does not have that feel of softener coating. It's a natural texture. I also have a tendency to have sensitive skin and have to search for just the right laundry soap and fabric softener. I am thrilled to say this year I have finally solved my search. I use Persil laundry detergent for sensitive skin (only requires a small amount). And now these wool dryer balls! I also purchased the black ones for dark clothing. I Love these!!!!!

I had tried to felt, and make my own dryer balls, but because I have this top loading new washing machine, that doesn't agitate, it would not felt the balls, even with hot boiling water. I have done alot of felting years ago, so I know how to felt wool. So, I looked on Amazon, found the dryer balls, and for the price, they were well worth buying, instead of trying to make my own, which was a total waste of time and electricity. They are a really good size ball, and I'm using them as Christmas gifts, along with a bottle of lavender essential oil. These balls are the greatest thing for your dryer.

Ended up returning these. Did not reduce or eliminate static cling. Drying time was not shortened either.If you must have some, make your own and save the money.

I recently discovered essential oils and I purchased the Wool Dryer Balls XL for Laundry to use instead of dryer sheets. They are a nice large size and work great. I put a few drops of lavender essential oil on one of them and tossed 3 in with a large load. Fresh smelling and soft with no static cling. I love the fact that I don't have to purchase dryer sheets. I ended up purchasing a second set to give as a gift. I put them back into my laundry basket when I'm done and so far have managed to keep them away from my puppy! I highly recommend these.

I am attempting to get rid of toxins in my house and a friend told me about the wool dryer balls that she has used for years. Had never heard of this technique but am willing to try. Have done 3 loads of laundry with no fabric softener in the wash and I am amazed at how nice the clothes dried and looked after using the wool dryer balls! I am sold and will probably never purchase fabric softener again!
