Thanks for this question. Unfortunately, the company who manufactured this exhausted its first manufacturing run. It was a company out of Canada. The web link and company are no longer existing under this name other than as providing support manuals and such. The people who made it are still making Pilates related equipment. But when ever they start a new product, they change the name slightly. Like software manufacturers, they only provide about 5 years of direct support. The springs are standard springs used in other pilates equipment. A search on Amazon and other places will show up with several different size and strength springs that will work with this chair. You want the same length or a bit shorter in a fatter or stated stronger version. Measure your current springs in length and diameter and circumference, then search on key word Pilates chair springs. You can even search on Malibu Pilates Chair Heavy springs. I saw some on a few sites, but I am not allowed to mention other sites on amazon. You will have to search on the key words. Just keep in mind, that if you eliminate the Malibu, you will see more generic pilates equipment springs (all made by the Malibu people), and those springs if they are the right length and diameter or circumference and labeled heavy duty, should work.

No, you would have to take out a few bolts and take it apart

Q: How large of an open area do I need to use this chair to do the routines?

The unis is about 3' W X 3' D X 4' High with side bars installed Probable need about 5' length area in order to use it though.

Q: Chair only? Are the stronger springs included?

the guy that I get mine from through Amazon you hadn't even been opened it was brand new it happened. All extended handles it had 5 DVD's it has the extra Springs it was fully loaded so paid 300 for it
