Very nice stories one of my daughter favorites book

As much as I love paper books, I really love that my kids can't destroy this one. Richard Scarry is our family's favorite. Love the sarcasm for the parents to enjoy while they read to their children. The illustrations are amazing and there's so much to look at; just over and over you find something new.

Scary's illustration's are marvelous - and here they are! Bright, funny, fun. Click on them and up they come, filling the screen with inventions. And his stories are there, too, with all their quiet deadpan tone ("Look out, Officer Flossie! Oh, dear"). The problem is that the only way to get both pix and story is to stay with the little pictures on the two-page spread that comes up. My young one found that too small to be interesting. But if you click the picture to full size, you get a picture only - no words. It's the sort of mistake Scary could have drawn: an iPad screen with dots for drawings, little words, and lots of white space. The caption would say, "Better click on picture, Ma!" The next page would show a bright, colored drawing and no words with a little (book)worm munching something and Ma saying, "All right, who ate the story?"

Richard Scarry books are hard to find and was glad I was able to purchase and give to my nephew. These books are great and help kids build their vocabulary quickly at an early age.

My 4-year-old loves the stories in this book. We often read 2 at bed time. The stories are adorable and she learns a lot from them. The pictures are quite detailed -- we talk about those as well while reading the stories, which makes the book even better.

Richard Scarry is one of the best children's author's of all time. This book illustrates his creativity and passion for story telling. The thing I love about his work is the detail he puts into every page. My children absolutely love his stories and often find new things every time we read this story. I grew up with Richard Scarry books and my kids love them as much as I do. His stories always have a great moral message and his illustrations will intrigue you night after night.
