Fresh Wave Odor Eliminator Fresh Pods, 2 Pods & 2 Refill Packs, Original

I’ve used the scent beads before, like the ones you’d leave in the closet and loved it. Thought to try this for a stinky trash can. It doesn’t stay on the lid. The top constantly opens up and then it drops the beads into the trash and then I’d have to use a new one, no matter what I do. I’ve tried tapping it shut to see if it can just hold (thinking it’s just the clasp) but the two pack I got - both of them do it. So if it’s for another use where you won’t be opening and closing often then I’m sure it’s fine. But it was advertised to help with a stinky trash smell and it doesn’t stay so it’s pointless IMO. the scent itself is lovely and light (original) and when it worked for the first 10 mins i couldn’t smell the trash.

I only recieved 1 pod. The smell is very nice. However I wish the container stayed more securely closed. When the garbage truck lifted the can the crystal bag popped out of enclosure. Fortunately I saw where it went n restored it to the container.

They stick to top of lid well and remove easily but then you need to find a new way to stick them on. I think they should come with one extra mounting strip. I have one that likes to pop open but a piece of masking tap fixed that.

More annoying than useful. I tried to use one on my trashcan and one on my diaper pail, but they both would always pop open and dump. The included sent baggie in the trash. I tried different ways of securing them closed (eventually landed on heavy-duty tape just on the place where it pops open to replace the inside), which only kind of worked. The most annoying thing is that it always pops up on my diaper pail, making the lid not close all the way - I feel like I have to mess with it almost every time I open and close the diaper pail. Definitely more trouble than it’s worth.

I loved the product but the tape that it comes with it doesn't help to keep it attached to the garbage can lid.
