Charlie was reviewing the wrong game.
Contrary to Charlie's review, this game was NOT a launch title. He's thinking of NHL All-Star Hockey I believe which was a pretty bad game. Powerplay 96 is a solid title. Possibly the best hockey game available for the Saturn.

a great hockey game
As with most hockey games, this was a very well made game. The graphics are pretty good for the saturn and the game play is solid. If your looking for a good hockey game this is one of your better options.

Yikes. I have no idea what these guys were thinking. This is a launch game for the Saturn, but that does not mean it is any good. Graphically, it is poor, and trails in comparison to EA's NHL games. I had absolutely no fun with this, and it is nothing but a waste of time and money. Do not rent, do not buy, do not even consider.
