desertcart.com: A Teenager's Guide to Investing in the Stock Market: Invest Hard Now | Play Hard Later (Invest Now Play Later Series): 9798571617444: Villermin, Luke: Books Review: A Magical Compass Through the Market - There is a strange alchemy in Luke Villermin’s A Teenager’s Guide to Investing in the Stock Market: Invest Hard Now | Play Hard Later, a mixture of practical instruction and narrative warmth that renders the labyrinthine world of finance almost magical. The book moves with a rhythm that recalls the subtle cadences of a town where time folds upon itself, where lessons linger like the scent of coffee in a sunlit kitchen, and where knowledge is not merely conveyed but lived. Each page offers clarity without condescension. Villermin’s guidance transforms numbers, charts, and stock indices into characters in a story of growth and possibility, making the abstract pulse with life and purpose. The advice is firm yet gentle, a hand guiding the young reader through risk, patience, and prudence, while never denying the thrill of discovery or the allure of ambition. By the final chapter, one emerges not merely educated, but enchanted—equipped with tools, insight, and a sense that investing, like life, is a journey best approached with both courage and curiosity. Five stars, for it does more than instruct; it inspires, as literature should, and reminds us that the future is a story waiting to be written. Review: Investing for teens - This is a wonderful book to give to your young teens. Great gift idea for kids and grandkids.

Great book with good information!
This was a great book that had a lot of great information worded in a way that could easily be understood by a teenager. Quality was great. Only issue, make sure the teenager is interested in learning the information. My son thought it was boring. From an adult perspective it was a great, informative book!

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT
If only I had this book at 15! When I entered the workforce at 23, I became keenly aware of the need to invest early to secure my future financial peace of mind. Problem was, I had no clue where to start. I studied English, not finance! Fast-forward three years (yep, now 26), and this book falls into my lap... Do yourself a favor and just pay the $7 for this book. Skip tomorrow's Starbucks run if you must. Coming from a person who's constantly plagued by analysis paralysis, I'm telling you, start here. Stop comparing book titles like I did and questioning why this is only $7. Who knows why. For me, the content was worth way more than $7. But I digress... The key to anything is getting started. And what's the biggest deterrent to getting started? INACCESSIBILITY. Content that claims it's easy to understand but isn't. Like, at all. In my opinion, this book delivers on accessibility as much as a book like this can. Admittedly, some concepts went over my head, but the other 99% was spot on. The way Luke Villermain simplified financial concepts put a huge smile on my face (I'm an instructional designer, so I recognize quality teaching when I see it). He writes with a kind of pep and lightness that's just fantastic. Please, people, don't underestimate the emotional component to learning. It's alllllll mindset, and Luke does an excellent job of not only lightening the mood and explaining concepts, but giving you a no-nonsense roadmap of sorts for getting started. Now, caveat here: I don't know a TON about finances and the stock market (clearly, or why else would I have bought this book), but I did bring some basic conceptual knowledge to the table. I knew what stocks were, a bit about mutual funds and EFTs, etc. Could I speak intelligently about them? No way lol. But did I have at least some idea of what the heck they were? Yeah, a fuzzy one. It was still a mental model, no less, one that might have allowed me to take more from this book than I could have otherwise. My suggestion, then, is to click that order button and Google some basic stock market concepts/terms while this book makes its way to you. You won't regret it!

This book will equip your teenager to build a wonderful financial future. Great book.
Every parent of a teenager should get this book. I wish I had read a book like this when I was 15. It would have changed my life. This information should be required reading in public school. Anyone who reads this book should walk away feeling inspired and eager to jump into the stock market. Honestly, I spent my entire life working hard, saving where I could and staying out of debt. But I never knew what an index fund or mutual fund was., I never knew the difference between S & P 500 was or Nasdaq. I knew nothing. I now have a young child and I don't want her to miss out on a wonderful life that is very much in reach, simply by incorporating the strategies in this book. This book will give you the tools to get your child started right. Any teenager who reads this book will learn the basics of how the stock market works and how to open an account so they can become a stockholder. I am very pleased with this book. My child is going to grow up differently than I did.

Looks Good
I got this as a gift for my granddaughter, who had asked for a kids' book on investing. She is 12 so not quite a teenager yet, but 12 was the top end for the books that are aimed at younger children. I think it looks o.k. for her age, and she is smart in math.

When I was shopping for books about investing, I was a little hesitant to buy one like this that had no reviews on Amazon.ca and wasn't very well known online. But the title captured my fancy, and I decided to order it. After reading it, I cannot emphasize how great a read this is! Mr. Villermin made everything very easy to understand and made the learning process enjoyable in the process. I highly recommend this book for anybody just getting into investing. You won't regret your purchase!

It was a gift for my teenage nephew. I wanted to introduce him to money, how to spend, how to earn, how to save, how to multiply. This book seems to have been a good pick, as he now seems to be more interested in money matters and curious to find out more.
