Very nice tofu !
I just made an interesting choice with this tofu - I made macaroni cheese using the tofu as the base with Nut. Yeast added for the 'cheese' - it was wonderful - I was not sure how the tofu would behave - added just a little water & whipped it to a smooth cream with the Nut Yeast & it was delicious & a beautiful texture ! Did not grill the dish this time, but I will try that next time to see if it browns nicely too. I'm so happy. I'm not very fond of tofu chunks - somehow the soft middle doesn't work for me - I browse recipes all the time & have not found a tofu chunk recipe I like yet ! I will try mixing other things in with it to get a firm texture - really firm & chewy like a burger is what I want - Youtube is my friend tho !

nice emergency/pantry addition, 7 grams protein per serving, texture like hard boiled egg whites
The main thing to know is... While is it is "extra firm", it is still SILKEN, which means no matter what it is not going to hold in little squares or strips (unless you put in a lot of effort). For that you want non-silken regular. This SILKEN tofu is good for "egg" scrambles, "egg" salad, for baking, for smoothies, for other creamy applications (sauces, "gravies", puddings, desserts). Directly out from box it is a firm block, but if you take off a chunk and it eat plain, ot very much has same texture as a hard boiled egg white. Shelf stable makes for great Emergency option. Pantry option. I have always been one to keep a well packed pantry (not live close to stores, dont like to shop, dont want to have to buy something every time I want to make something), and especially in the past couple of years due to pandemic and current world affairs (supply chain issues, transportation issues, price inflation, availability, worldwar3?, etc)...I just want more on hand. Or have extra on hand in case someone close needs it. I can do up some care packages. During early days of pandemic, I was able to stay out of public and was able to help elderly folks by supplying them some stuff so they didnt have to put themselves at further risk. And so now, I am just shoring up and adding more variety. Buying a little of something here and there (not all at once!) helps build a nice supply. I dont often use tofu, but it comes into play for some recipes and cooking/baking curiosities. I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but I love all sorts of food. I figured I would add this into my mix. Decent source of protein (7 grams per serving, there are 4 servings per box, so 28 grams if you ate the whole thing), shelf stable, and adds a creamy kick to sauces and smoothies.

Prices out of control!! So convenient to have on hand but recent prices are insane
Update: It’s a great deal at $20 a case. But recently it’s gone up to $40 a case which is completely insane. At that price it’s cheaper to make your own tofu from scratch (easy to do too!) Original review: I truly love this brand and style of packaging. They have various "flavors" available; yuzu (my fav served with blackberry preserves), edamame (good with braggs aminos) and the normal plain type (served with a tablespoon of tamari/shoyu and a splash of toasted sesame oil or chili oil). I keep these on hand for protein snacks when I'm too busy to cook. It's a nice consistency too. For cooking I usually choose nasoya extra-firm for air frying or stir fries. This mori-nu is best for vegan scrambled eggs, smoothies etc. Cheaper than making my own tofu given the time saved and the convenience of storing it at room temperature. A really great food for prepping, convenience and snacks. Nom, nom, nom!

Great Product just too soft for me!
My wife and I have been making the necessary changes to lose weight and become healthier and fit (excercise, dieting, etc.) We've decided to make more changes by substituting meats. After looking at all the easy recipes only for Tofu we decided to give it a try! We'll I saw that Silken "Extra Firm" is a best seller on Amazon and didn't want to waste anytime.l so I ordered and it arrived within the time frame promised. The packaging is as shown in the pictures. We'll the same day it came I decided to try a recipe I found on Google for "Baked Tofu Bites" that's where the problem came in, this tofu is just too soft! Doesn't look at all like the Tofu I've seen in pictures or on cooking videos on YouTube. I'm in no way blaming the company as I've noticed they put, "Silken Style" on the package. I'm thinking "silken tofu" is different from "regular tofu"? The "Baked Tofu Bites" were a little too soft and didn't come out as described. I fear the same problem will happen with other recipes such as "Tofu Parmigiana" and "Tofu Lasanga". However, I would recommend this Tofu for soups and stews, etc. The flavor of the Tofu itself is pleasant just too soft for my liking some broke apart after just opening the package!

This is the first time I had ordered tofu online and the experience was good...i was a bit confused about the brand but after going through the reviews i ordered from this brand. The quality was perfect though it doesn't taste as good as Paneer🤤 as it is not made from milk but it can be an alternative to paneer for sure.

Very creamy, rich taste. I don't think it's firm at all, but it's very nice. I'll order again.
