Good Olive Oil; Easy to Use Bottle
I just plain like California Olive Ranch olive oil. I use it primarily for salads--fond of marinated kale. I love the flavor. But when I tried other brands, I discovered more reasons to appreciate this brand. The bottle is designed to be easy to handle with indents on two sides for an easy grip. The pour top is drip-proof (and I have encountered some messy drips with other brands). And, you know, it's a good-looking bottle.

This is the real deal!
Great fresh and fruity clean taste and aroma. This olive oil is the real deal and is perfect for roasting vegetables and dressing salads. Because it's unadultered like some olive oils, be aware that the smoke point might be lower than you're used to, so you won't be able to saute at higher temperatures. Add a little canola oil when frying meats to correct this "problem" or be sure to use a lower temperature. I'm happy to have found a quality product from the USA. I recently tried Kirkwood Organic EVOO and it's not nearly as good a product as California Ranch. Though this product is more expensive, I'll return to buying this product.

Seems like a good product
I bought this 16.9 oz bottle due to it being America's Test Kitchen winner of the 'Best Store-variety Olive Oil'. Thought I'd give it a try, especially because I was interested in how a California olive oil would taste. Let me say upfront that I'm not in any way an olive oil conesseur, I cook with it primarily for it's health benefits, use a little on salads, and that's about it. I probably wouldn't even use olive oil at all were it not for health benefits -- I think olive oil in general imparts a 'different' (some say 'funny') flavor compared to other cooking oils. But that said, I've bought a lot of different olive oils made by different companies over the years. Overall, to me they taste about the same ...ok, sorry if I just made a bunch of people gasp. The good news is, the flavor is smooth, not funky, strong, pugnant or off-putting in any way. That's probably the most important thing. I lined up 4 bowls and put a dab into each bowl of 4 different of olive oils we had under our cabinet including this one. One was the remaining bottle of Bertolli, another was Partanna, a much more expensive supposed high-end awared winning Sicillian-produced bottle I bought after the holidays at 1/2 price, a bottle of Greek-made Olive oil I bought at Aldi's that was about 3 years old ......and this California olive oil. My daughter and I tested each and to us they had a slightly different flavor, but not tremendously so, and were all acceptable. I thought the Greek olive oil would be skunky due to it's age, but it didn't seem to be, however it had a little different flavor. A lot of companies apparently buy olives on the open market so just because it's Italian, Spanish or Greek made, it doesn't mean there aren't olives from other places. But many companies claim to use only home-grown olives, and those are the types I prefer to try. As far as award winning olive oils go, I went online and researched the awards and discovered there are literally hundreds of awards given out to olive oils which surprised me.Overall, I liked that the California Olive Oil bottle is glass, to me buying olive oil in a plastic bottle just seems unnatural and I avoid those. I don't care for the dark green color though. I prefer the clear bottles so I can see the color of the oil but my guess is it is to extend the product life. All in all the flavor was good and we used the whole bottle and enjoyed it.

The taste!
The taste! The taste!I’ve always bought olive oil through the stores, Walmart, Sam’s Club, etc.I was looking online for a different type of olive oil and came across this and decided to taste it.Too many in the store aren't what they seem it was talking about this off taste and I thought, I'm not sure? This is what it tastes like. But reviews were good..So when I got it, I immediately touched to my finger and so so surprised at the taste. I couldn't believe it.So, I tried again. Yep. It was that good. The only problem was that it's made from several different olives from different countries. If you don't mind that, this is definitely one to try.I could totally see using this to make a dipping oil with bread. Add a little proper, garlic, fresh basil. Yum. Crusty bread Can’t wait to try it.

Great Olive Oil
I use olive oil for all my cooking that requires oil. Very good flavor and is rated as a top pick by Consumer Labs. A little expensive but not as much as some other olive oils. I buy this brand because I know it is true extra virgin olive oil.
