I've done cross-stitch for years. I realized this was a "beginner" kit, but loved the design and for the price figured I had nothing to lose. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Aida cloth finished along the edges so it doesn't fray, and the cotton floss is high quality...it feeIs silky. A color chart is included, as are 2 needles. Although I don't need the instructions, they are clearly written and easy to follow for a beginner. I may have to set aside the Santa cross-stitch I'm working on and and start this one. I can't wait to add it to my Fall decor!

*UPDATE I'm giving this 5 stars now because I read part of the directions wrong. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I will be buying another one to so I can start over.3 stars for a cute design, easy, and fun BUT it doesn't come with enough string. I've been following instructions and not traveling with the string so I can get use of ever inch.

If you are new to cross stitching and/or a cat lover then you will love this little kit. Comes with everything you will need to complete a really cute cat!!!

This is a super fun kit that is foolproof! I've done classic cross-stitch without the pre-printed pattern and it can be a bit nerve-wracking counting and spacing everything correctly. This was much more relaxing and fun because the pre-printed pattern does all of the "hard" work for you! I'm able to sit back and enjoy the stitches more than when I have to control the pattern myself. Also, the pre-printing was perfectly aligned to the squares so there is no confusion or partially colored squares. I haven't finished yet, but there also appears to be plenty of thread to spare, which hasn't always been the case with previous kits I've purchased. I would definitely buy a set like this again!

Beautiful design. Instructions on the back of the package easy to follow. The thread colors are really pretty. In my opinion the materials (threads and cloth) are made out of polyester or some kind of synthetic fibers (very similar to other printed/stamped cross stitch kits like this one). After completing all the stitching, the bright ink they used to do the pre printed design will dissolve in water (see package instructions).I will say you may need a hoop or a plastic snap frame, if you are used to working with one, but not necessary. A pair of scissors to snip threads, and a needle threader. If you have trouble seeing close by, then you’ll need a pair of readers too.

Good for beginners. Lots of fun, clearly printed for easy understanding. Good instructions. I had a lot of fun creating this lil fella. There was well enough floss so I had a lot left over. I added a few quarter stitches to fill in some spots to round out the ears and fingers a little and changed up a few stitches on the right, backstitch outline of the nose. (But for personal preference reasons). I also used only 1 thread for whiskers vs 2 that were used everywhere else for the backstitch. A great little kit. Printed ink dissolved wonderfully when soaked in water.

My wife, a long time cross-stitcher is a bit concerned. Printed color doesn't match thread color. It is a very small and highly detailed kit and tough on her eyes. Also, some of the instructions are in Chinese. While she would normally recommend pre-printed kits for beginners, she would not recommend this one.

Good value for the money, but ran out of floss and directions/instructions were vauge... I suggest watching a few videos BEFORE starting the project. I am disappointed after all my work I am left with an "unfinished" product unless I go buy floss which will cost me the same as the product (if you don't have a "stash" left from other projects) This was just a "starter" for me but bummed none the less.
