But the good old blow in the connection point of the controller ...
I broke out my old N64 and started playing it everyday with my friends during the summer. I still had all the original controllers from when I first got this console back in grade school. Finally one of the joysticks gave out and I was dreading it. I know that's the most difficult thing to find in a replacement controller. One that still is made with quality. Well I chose this one based on the reviews and I'd say they are accurate. The controller is very stiff being brand new especially after using old ones for years. I had trouble getting it connected to the 64 and for it to accept it. But the good old blow in the connection point of the controller did the job. After a full nights use of Mario Kart, the joy stick stuck a couple of times but hasn't since. I'll chalk that up to breaking it in. If anything else develops with the controller, I'll let you know.

Effectively fulfills nearly all functions
The controller itself is pretty solid. All the buttons work and I can use a Controller Pak for save data. A drawback is that the buttons and control stick are quite tight, which, if you're like me and have been using well-worn controllers for some time, may take some getting used to. I've sometimes had problems with the control stick where it's not quite centered to start off, but wiggling it around for a moment typically gets it to behave. One big issue if you're a Pokémon fan: my controller does not detect a Transfer Pak (the device that links a Game Boy cartridge with the N64). Luckily I have other controllers made by Nintendo that work.

Not bad for the price. Might want to consider Gamecube style replacement joysticks.
I bought two of these controllers and they do the job, but quality seems to vary a bit. One controller works perfectly(joystick seems precise and buttons all work fine) but feels very stiff. The other controller's joystick feels a little more loose and not as precise as the first controller, and also has a pretty annoying squeak that the first one does not. I've also noticed that both controllers plugs fit very tightly in the Nintendo 64 controller ports(so tight I feel like I am going to break something just trying to remove the controller). If you are looking for a cheap controller option this controller isn't bad, but it makes me wonder if it would be more worth the money to buy Gamecube style replacement joysticks for the two broken official Nintendo controllers that I have.UPDATE 7/4/15After putting a little bit of oil on the squeaky joystick and playing some Super Smash Bros, the joystick on the second controller has loosened up. It plays a lot better now but does have a slight tendency to keep slowly going to the right. The controllers both seem to work ok, but still considering picking up replacement Gamecube style joysticks for the two broken Nintendo brand controllers I have.UPDATE 7/6/15The controller that had a slight tendency to pull to the right got worse, so I thought I would take it apart and see if there was anything I could do to help the situation. (I had three electronics classes in high school, so opening and attempting to fix controllers is not a big deal to me)Unfortunately the wiring in these controllers is very cheap and two of the wires going to the joystick broke, and after soldering them back on and putting the controller back together the joystick didn't work at all. I've since ordered Gamecube style joysticks to put in my Nintendo brand controllers with worn out joysticks, and will hopefully have better luck.UPDATE 7/8/15I ended up ordering Gamecube style replacement joysticks for the two broken Nintendo brand controllers I had, swapped them in, and honestly I would recommend the replacements over these controllers. The joysticks are a little sensitive but I think that after some use I will adjust to the feel of them, and they will seem like they should have always been that way.

Polyurethane Perfection
Excellent feel, solid build, very good looking. The ONLY way you can tell this apart from an OEM controller is the missing Nintendo logo, and props to Cirka for not slapping on an uglier one in its place. As others have mentioned, the buttons & stick were pretty stiff at first, but 'twas nothing some WD-40 and a couple rounds of Fox vs. Captain Falcon couldn't remedy. Seriously, it just needs to be broken in.Now, when my friends all gather for drunken late-night Kario Mart, it's the first controller to be pounced on, leaving the once superior OG's to wonder when was the last time in life they felt young.

Good for Zelda
Unlike some other remotes I have bought on Amazon, this one works great! The cheaper remotes seem to have syncing issues of a sort and have you pressing the "up" toggle continuously. However, that issue is not prevalent in the Cirka model. I gave it 4 stars because it is ultra sensitive and makes it hard to play at first, but once you break it in, it works like a charm. I used this to play Zelda, Ocarina of Time on the N64

Not genuine Nintendo quality
The joy stick squeaks and does not move smoothly, like a Nintendo controller does. It’s like it has a rubber bushing. Some button you have to press kinda hard to make contact. I took mine apart and cleaned up the casting marks and that helped a little but I need to shave them a bit more. I don’t think there’s anything I can do about the joy stick though. But it’s cheap, looks cool, and works better than my old busted controller

Good quality. Not exact to the original. Close enough.
Not quite an exact copy of the original in terms of responsiveness and control feel. External aesthetics are 100% spot on though! I can feel the nostalgia when I pick it up. Makes playing the Nintendo 64 a lot more fun when you have 4 friends each with a controller of their own.

) Cirka N64 controllers are great, I've bought several
I ordered this controller and it came broken, but since it was Amazon that sold it to me, they immediately refunded me and gave me a free shipping slip I had to print :) Cirka N64 controllers are great, I've bought several. You just need a good amount of play to break them in, as the buttons are a bit stiff when the product is brand new

Nice color
It was nice having a brand new controller and I really liked the color. My husband wanted to put the outer casing on the guts of an official controller, but the way they are designed inside, the guts of the Nintendo controller wouldn't fit in the case properly. I guess he didn't like the feel of the buttons/stick?He has an aversion to third party controllers so these ended up not getting much use. I think he sold them to his buddy. If you don't have controllers, these would probably do the trick just fine.

Meh
Mediocre controllers, there’s better third party controllers out there I would recommend you check out before buying one from this company. Joystick is too stiff and not smooth at all. Look cool though

Also if you ever want to replace the joystick when it wears out you cant as easily because the wires go directly to the motherboard
The joystick is very sensitive compaired to an original controller. It makes it hard to play some games. Also if you ever want to replace the joystick when it wears out you cant as easily because the wires go directly to the motherboard . There is no connector like on the original controllers.Other than my above negitive comments this is a very good looking controller almost like original minus the nintendo brand name.
