The best patternmaking book series!
I have the series in Italian and really happy they have been released in English. There is no better patternmaking books for the price. Not only is the price good, the amount to technical information the actual designs and clothing styles are much more current and up-to-date then most all the others available on the market. Uses metric which is by far the best for patterndrafting and takes no effort to use as you do not have to figure out complicated fractions. The series is for the beginner to advanced patternmaker and are full of easy to understand diagrams and information. Designs for men and women, great lingerie in Vol.2 and knit tees and dresses. You will want to make sure you have Vol.1. ( it has a great legging pattern). You can find lots on inexpensive metric pattern drafting rulers here on Amazon as well as papers for patterns, medical exam paper is great for making the patterns you will be cutting out. I use both the smooth and the crepe, crepe is not as easy to see through but stronger and longer lasting.Medical Pattern Paper: 21" x 225' Single Roll of Patternmaking, Drafting, and Tracing Paper by Cardinal HealthFrigate Fashion Designer Rule Kit in Cm (15-202) by Fairgate

Super reference book!
This book, along with his others, is a great reference book and has many ideas on how to make not only basic items, but how to customize the patterns to make them your own.

This series is the best that I have
This series is the best that I have. It is not simplistic and requires some basic insight into garment construction, but it has hundreds of pattern templates that can be used to create custom garments. This group of three books are the best value.

Excellent reference
Excellent reference. I already wrote a review for one of the other volumes. I purchased all three. I would again suggest sewing and flat pattern drafting experience; these books are not for absolute beginners.

Is it worth it? (Sewing Edition)
Again as with my review of the first book in this series, this is not a pattern-making book for beginners, I think someone with a solid foundation in drafting basics will get the most from this book.I do not think the book explains well enough the basic principles of pattern-drafting for the beginner.I wasn't so much a fan of a lot of the women's designs in this book as I was the first and third, but I did really like the menswear section. I think the title is a little misleading in that you don't learn to make men's shirts or undergarments nor suits as men's pants are not covered either, only the jackets and waistcoats for men are covered. For the price given there is a lot of usable designs . I really like this book and series as a whole and think it will take your pattern-making skills to the next level.I did take off 1 point because the title is a little misleading and I think the book should be targeted toward an intermediate audience a tad bit better.

Very helpful
Great series of books. Especially for someone learning and try No to understand how clothes are put together.
