Works brilliantly with Steam Deck!
I bought this specifically for a Valve Steam Deck. I recently got a gigabit fiber connection and wanted to take full advantage of it when downloading games on the Deck. I took a gamble on this adapter knowing that Linux generally has incredible driver support without much, if any, configuring. I installed it into the Steam Deck's USB-C port, hooked the other end up to my network switch, and the Steam Deck instantly registered a new wired connection. I didn't even have to go into "Desktop Mode" for it; it all worked flawlessly in the "Gaming Mode". I downloaded a 15GB game in about 3 minutes with the Deck maxing out at 880Mbps. The device itself seems well built with a braided cable and gray anodized aluminum enclosures on each end. It's small and compact so it'll fit nicely in the Steam Deck case's little pouch or in that drawer that every house has that's full of cables, adapters, and dongles. It seems as though it's good value for money as well, like every Anker product I've purchased, but time will tell if something goes screwy down the line.

Just Buy It, You Can Not Go Wrong!
This Anker USB to Ethernet Adapter is gold. I've purchased about seven of these as they are of very high quality and do what they are supposed to do. I have one or two of these for all of my computers and laptops that do not have an ethernet port. Additionally, these adapters work at the full specified speed on my one gigabit per second ethernet links, there are not any slow downs. I have never, ever had any technical issues with these adapters, and they are of very high quality and solidly built. You can not go wrong by purchasing this ethernet adapter.

Works like a charm. Plug and play. Get this.
Plugged into the back of my 2024 iMac when the port on the cord started acting flaky. Pluged in the ethernet cable. Pluged into the router -boom. Works. Speeds clocking at 1.2 Gbps. Took what….5 seconds. Totally worth it.

It just works
Well made and worked perfectly with my M4 MacBook air. No software driver required. Used to measure UL/DL speeds at the satellites for a mesh router.
