After purchasing Depression Cherry I purchased this record...sub par is all I can say..record does not sound cohesive and songs are not as good as Depression Cherry..starting to think Beach House is a one album band for me.

I don't know if Beach House hits anyone else the way they hit me, but their music just gives me chills. Devotion is my favorite album by them. Everything, from Victoria's gorgeous alto and piercing falsetto, to Alex's dreamy slide guitar, to the undeniable lo-fi charm of the drum machine and keyboards, it all works wonderfully together. To top it all off, great songwriting and a bath of reverb make this album an absolute gem.Pick it up on vinyl, the sound is perfect for the format.

Great album. I still prefer Teen Dream to this one as a whole, but Gila makes this one my favorite.

Beautiful album. It's not as hazy as their first, but still slower than Teen Dream and Bloom. Sounds fantastic on vinyl. And even though 2disc albums can be tiresome having to flip more often, this ones worth it. The songs seem to take their time and the warmth of vinyl really lends itself to the overall sound and feel of Beach House.

Emotional without being twee, Beach House is simply one of the best bands to come along in a while. I may even like her voice more than Kendra Smith's of "Opal", and I never thought I'd think anyone had a nicer sound than Kendra.

Love the sounds of her voice, but her low tone throws you sometimes, as does the extra backing at times. Other than that, got the set. Wish they would do a DVD of the songs which Y-Tube tries to fill

I became aware of this band thro their record label putting out composite festival CDs, but have also seen them play live twice at festivals and am quite impressed with their sound and their songs.

Good album, I simply love this group! Saw them recently at Oran Mor in Glasgow, best gig in ages. So much better than all the garbage in the charts just now. Must be destined for greater things. If you like them try Band of Horses.

Great, classic beach house

It's no biggie - but It's obvious the record was used. Plays just perfect and there are no skips, but there was a dent on the record book and a rip on the record label on the vinyl. Just not too happy product wasn't as described - not too pushed about it tough!

Un bon deuxième album où le groupe commence à trouver son son, le meilleur reste à venir avec les deux disques suivants.

Did not like this cd or the artist. Only purchased the cd because I heard one track that I liked.
