Better light spread
Ive used Philips X-tremeVision bulbs on three car now and allways find the light is better, I have just put these in my kia rio 2015 it had some basic oram bulbs in it, but when I drove with the philips out in the dark country lanes the light was a bit longer but had a better light spread ie the left and right of the road was better lit, you can get the racing version (road legal) but people say the dont last as long cos the burn hotter.

Best HB3 halogen upgrade you can buy
Bought for Kia Sportage, lights were very poor which is down to the projector lenses used by the manufacturer, tried most available bulbs on the market and found these to be the best. They are the brightest halogen bulb you can by in HB3 fitment. Better than standard bulbs and other high performance bulbs by Osram. Would have preferred a whiter bulb hence 4 stars but the trade off is worth it for the performance. Would highly recommend.

Burnt out in less than 2 months
I’ve used Philips bulbs for years, had them in all my cars as they are a lot better than the factory bulbs that you get with the far however I have never had one that’s lasted under 2 months, I purchased these on November 5 2024, so if you include delivery times 7 November till last week and one bulb has already burnt out.

Packaging is infuriating
This has to be the most ridiculously over engineered packaging I've ever come across. It's bad enough that Skoda have designed my car in a way that means I literally cannot fit my hand in the gap required to change a bulb, but thanks to Phillips, I this time gained the added joy of complete rage over trying to remove the bulb from the box without smashing it.You may call me fat handed, but even trying my best to rotate the bulb to where you should just press the clip and it pop from the box resulted in further development of fury.Anyway let's stop ranting. After snapping the box carefully into tiny microscopic particles with a pair of pliers the bulbs themselves (though surprisingly unharmed from the ordeal) are pretty bright and clear and have been going for quite a few months.Probably over priced but you do get what you pay for. In this case... a hermetically sealed vacuum with a reasonable bulb 💡somewhere in there if you dare attempt to get it out.
