I love Top Gear.... always have done.I emigrated to the states a couple of years ago and Top Gear is one of the very few English shows I always make sure I'm up to date with (In this case I missed the first episode on BBC iPlayer, so I purchased it from Amazon).However, I often find the “star in the reasonable priced car” slots tedious. IMHO the slot is driven (pun intended) by whom ever has a film out right now... and I would say with some conviction that 75% of the "star in a reasonable priced car" features are kind of, weeell, boring. And frankly. Season 21, Episode 1 was no exception.The on screen chemistry and banter you get from these three old timers still amuses me. But I really do miss the good old days when they told you BHP, 0 - 60 and top speeds while at the same time showing you explicit under the bonnet pictures.These days you need to watch "reviews" of cars you are actually interested in with your hand on the pause & replay controls.Often they make me feel like I'm trying to watch that Sharon Stone scene in Basic Instinct.... leaning forward in my seat trying to find the “golden frame”, wrinkling my nose as I push back my glasses.Damn you if after all my efforts in the 90’s, all I saw was a vague bit of (VHS pause glitched out) fluff… at least I think that’s what I saw.Thankfully my digital gadgets work way better than my old VHS machine from the 90's….But seriously? Who gives a toss about BHP, 0 to 60 times and top speeds?I do. I really do. Keep up the good work lads.

Top Gear has turned 21 in its series and has never guaranteed to grow up from the car antics that we all know and love. So it was by no surprise that, to celebrate the start of Top Gear’s 21st season, the presenting trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May preferred not to embrace the wisdom of being older however, these three presenters get to revisit and relive their lost youth – with shows that showcase the carefree of all car fans entertainment with high speeding, quirky sense of humor and massive explosions. So season 21 of Top Gear is business as usual. My favorite episode shares the heart of the show has the presenters’ bid to prove to their “teenage producers” that the hot hatches of yesteryear were superior to anything available in the 21st century. We see the Electric cars at their finest, A Trek through the Ukraine, A 2 episode tour in Burma, The guest are good and some say that he knows his way around any car and others say that he was an Alien on Dr Who. We call him the Stig! If you are an avid fan of Top Gear, you will enjoy this season as well.

I love the BBC Top Gear series! It seems like they travel all over the world and can do some risqué kinds of trouble and get away with it. They always make me laugh and surprise me when they wreck things and I love when they test drive high end exotic sports cars and give their honest opinions about the handling and they do so with wit and humor while giving their example of what it's really like experiencing what they are feeling. The men are experienced and drive well so hearing their point of view of how the cars perform and handle gives you a better idea of what it's like. I like when they have to buy a cheap beat up car or truck and then the producers give them challenges. Those episodes are hilarious and filled with humor, gross things, and a sense of adventure and accomplishment after they complete their missions. Very entertaining, funny, and educational for the car lover petrol head.

Absolutely love Top Gear! Would recommend to anybody curious about watching the series

Best show on the air!! Too bad they had to dink with the Burma episode because two people who aren't funny had to complain. Oh, well. As an American (and often at the receiving end of their jokes because they love to pick on my country) I adore James, Jeremy and especially Richard.If the BBC can't keep them on the air because of hyper sensitivity by a select few then I say come over here. We'll put them on cable, trash the US version of this show (which is awful) and drool over super cars, laugh at their antics, giggle as they try to build something and ultimately fail and enjoy their crazy road trips.If they come to the US we can also have stars in the reasonably priced car that we actually know!!!If you're a gear head with a sense of humor you can't pass up this show no matter what season you're watching.

Introduced my son to this show with this season. He LOVED it! Couldn’t get enough so we had to watch more Top Gear after that.

Having watched most of the Top Gear (UK) series', there is something to be said about this one. While it may not seem like much, the aging - and dare I say maturing - of the lead hosts changes the flavour of Top Gear. Among the three, Jeremy seems to have become a little more mellow, resulting in a delivery that's less biting. And that's not a bad thing. What we're made to remember, amidst the ever seamless photography and well-edited scenes, is how special some of these vehicles are. It's less about piss and vinegar and more about taking a moment to enjoy life and the immense progress the world has made with cars as of late.

Attention, ce DVD est Zone 1 (USA), par conséquent illisible par les lecteurs de DVD Zone 2 qui sont vendus en Europe.Ce "détail" n'est pas signalé sur le site. On nous dit juste "(Import)"…Pas cool :(Sinon j'ai quand même réussi à le visionner sur un Macet le contenu correspond tout à fait à mes attentes :)
