Trunk Short USB Cell Phone Charging Cable Adjustable Cord for iPhone

I bought it for my car but unfortunately it bounces a lot. If you use at home it might work better

In the process of trying to get a replacemen. It worked great for the first day of use, and broke after that. I never bent it like the description suggests is possible. I may have gotten a buggy one though.Updates soon upon receiving a new cable.No replacement tone sent. Reducing the rating to two stars. I didn't pay full price, but if I had, I would definitely prefer a refund. The cable is not strong. I would not trust my phone to rest on it.I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest review.

I wanted something tidier than a regular cable for my car, and the Trunk2 looked perfect. First the good -- though I'm not sure if its MFI certified, but my iPhone 5S and iPhone6 running iOS9 charged off it fine without warnings. The base of the connector is really wide (to help stabilize), and I had to shave a few slivers off my case to get it seated all the way. With that out of the way it held my iPhone 6 stably, even when leaned back ~30 degrees (I doubt you'd have luck with the 6 Plus).Unfortunately, it didn't work out for me. First off, my car doesn't have an integrated USB port in the center console, and using a cigarette-lighter adapter just doesn't provide a stable base when driving (further, mine is oriented vertically so there's no torsional force holding it against one side). Add in a heavier case, like  iPhone 6 & 6S Case, Vaultskin ® Eton iPhone 6 & 6S (4.7) Case Wallet [Black] Premium Wallet Case - Holds up to 8 Cards / Premium Genuine Leather , and the balance is thrown off enough that it's not viable. With a smaller case and in a car with a solidly mounted USB port, it'd be great.

When I plugged it in my iPhone 6 into this charger, my iPhone said that this was NOT a registered iPhone product and would not charge. When I took it out of the wall and my iPhone, the male part broke off of the charger. All this happened in 3 minutes. I do NOT recommend this product.

Part of the intended use of this device is to act as a mount which I thought seemed ambitious, but was offered an opportunity to purchase this at a discount in return for my honest opinion. Honestly, if you have a situation in which you want your iPhone to stand vertically while charging, this might work for you. However in a car, the position is going to be awkward and it's not stable enough to prevent a good amount of shaking. On my laptop, the weight of an iPhone 6S makes me uncomfortable that the weight might damage my USB port.So I carry mine in a pen slot in my briefcase and find that the rigidness makes it very convenient to access and store vs a more traditional cable.Like:- It fits well in the pen slot of a bag/briefcaseDislike:- The design isn't stable enough for use in a car USB port- The design doesn't seem strong enough when holding a phone vertically in my laptop usb portOverall I personally find it convenient because I can slip it in and out of a pen slot. But as a phone mount, I haven't found it that usable.PS - These opinions are my own and not influenced by the manufacturer or the supplier. 1 of the 3 TRUNK 2's I bought snapped off on day three of usage. Not good.

This thing kinda doubles as a tripod, and if I can get it to actually work with a wall socket, that would be great. I bought this particular cord because I was sick of having to roll up flimsy. soon to be discolored and gross cords in my bag. This one is black and small and just slightly flexible, so I'm excited for no discoloration (it's already black) and no rolling. However it'll be a learning curve to get the weight of it all not to have my iphone just fall out of a wall socket. Alas! I'll figure it out.The rubber feels like a smooth yet scratch free silicone and looks expensive, so I like that. I don't know how long it will last, as I just started using it. I think I'll refrain from bending it too much, as I've read on other reviews that it's not the kind of cord to abuse. I'm a sucker for packaging, and it came in a pretty cute little case, so that was really fun to open. In all, it's a pretty decent full price, so I'd consider buying more than one pending that it lasts a while. I did receive this item at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

Uh oh! Message pops up "accessory may not be supported". So sad. Not charging.
