does it come with a sleeve?

Yes, each Elite comes complete with matching sleeve.

Where is the loss protection number located?

You will find the loss protection card attached to the hang tag, along with the original packaging

What is the length of this Umbrella? and can you use it for self defense?

It is 35 1/2 from tip to handle but my husband put a rubber tip on the end for better walking support. It is very strong. As to using it for self defense, it is an umbrella!

is it ok to use as a cane

I use my umbrellas as canes also. The shaft is sturdy enough and if you don't mind scratching up the metal tip, it functions well as a cane.
