I bought this for my aquarium, and I'm very happy with it. Rinse it before use. Some particles will float in the aquarium, at first; but most will sink if you agitate the water surface with your hand, and the rest will fall to the bottom after a few days. Basically, if you use an overflow system for filtration, keep that in mind - some particles may enter your sump. (I use a canister filter, so it wasn't an issue for me, at all.)It feels a little like Seachem Flourite, but the particle size is smaller. My cichlids seem to enjoy shoveling it around and building nests in it.

When we ordered it was only needed to fill a small space. This product surpassed all our fears.

We used this gravel to weigh down garden statues . It did the job well.
