After looking at numerous styles and designs I settled on this design with the enclosed blower behind the glass (cleaner look in the off season).I had concerns with smoke entering the living space from the blower and how the blower would do being in the fire chamber.Upon opening the box I knew I made the right choice, I was very impressed with the heavy square tube design, grate size and the uprights to keep the logs from falling off. The motor has a nice thermal barrier and the extensions have very nice thermal gaskets.It took 15 minutes to put it all together and level in the fireplace, another hour to get my rusty bolts to my glass enclosure to cooprate.I was so exited to build a fire and feel this work I wasted no time to light one up.I waited for about 1/2 hr and the blower did not kick on, so I shut it off when I noticed I was just an idiot and high speed is just past the on position and not ully turned up. The blower engaged and woooo weee here comes the heat and I mean heat, almost burned my fingers feeling to see how well it was doing. I let the fire burn down to embers and still dumping the same heat, i threw another log on just now and I am actually sweating writing my review (80 deg), my room is 25' x 40' and I am planning to place some fans around to push it upstairs also. Fan is quiet, unit is very easy to assemble and I could not be more pleased. It was deffinately worth a couple more dollars than the one I was going to settle on.
