Now a Stagg stan
Bought this to get familiarized with her writing before getting into her most recent book (had become aware of the author though her appearance on two of my favorite podcasts-- if you're a fan of her work, would definitely recommend looking up the episodes of "Not Really" she's featured on)Anyway-- I typically have an aversion to fiction, but decided to give this a go and it did not take long to change my stance on the genre. She has a really enticing writing style that feels both extremely relatable to my own stream of consciousness, while also being able to incisively articulate a greater significance that I can't quite put my finger on about the seemingly mundane aspects of everyday life.

The book you can't tell your mother you love. I wanted the whole story immediately
The book you can't tell your mother you love.I wanted the whole story immediately. Couldn't put it down. And then I thought about it for weeks. I'm over fifty and experienced a mindset that I didn't even know existed in today's twenty-somethings. Now I need to read it again - and take a few breaths in between chapters.

Interesting ideas
I really wanted to love this, but it kinda bored me. I was really happy when I was through with it. The plot’s about how a girl’s life is influenced by her use of social media and it’s consequences. This is something I DO find interesting, however, I found myself a bit bored by the writing and the plot. To me, it seemed really cliché and flat. I think it could have been a lot better.

but it was good enough to pass on to a friend
An interesting story about today's digital generation. The writing style was appropriate to the context, but it was a bit hard to follow at points. I gave my copy away - I wouldn't read it again, but it was good enough to pass on to a friend.
