I love this humidifier!
Just got this humidifier to help with an ongoing cough and I love it so far! It's super quiet and puts out a good amount of mist instantly - no revving up or noise to pull the mist from the base. And the color changing lights are really neat! Didn't know I wanted it until I turned it on. It's just bright enough to look nice, but not so bright that it keeps me up. The sound machine was very quiet, but we have our own sound machine we use anyway, so not a big deal. It's nice having it there if needed. It did leak a little bit when I assembled it at our kitchen sink, filled it and then carried it to the bedroom. Supposedly the tank can be removed from the base without leaking, but I am going to test that over the sink once it gets empty instead of trying to carry it fully assembled again. I think it just splashed out of the base a bit and luckily it didn't seem to get into the vent fan, but I'm still a little nervous to take the tank off with a lot of water in it, just in case. But as long as the tank doesn't leak with water in it, I will just set it up where I want it from now on and then fill it. I assumed the tank could be removed with water in it since it says to dump the water out everyday, but the leaking just made me nervous. But once I figure it all out, it's a great humidifier and it has really been helping so far, even in just 2 nights of running it. And it's definitely really easy to clean, which is great!

Don't know how I lived without one for this long.
I really love this. I got it because I was having some breathing issues. Woke up after the first night of using it in the bedroom, and I slept through the night with no wheezing. I woke up feeling good and rested. No stuffed nose or thick phlegm in the throat. I love the nightlight feature. The sound feature is a plus but didn't use it during the night. I like that it came with a vapor pad. I ordered extras Justin case. It is very quiet, easy to operate and setup. Cleaning is a breeze. I've wanted to get a vaporizer for many years but never got around to getting one. Now I'm kicking myself for not getting one sooner, but then I may not have gotten one as amazing as thus one. So happy with this purchase. If ever I need to get another I'll be getting this one again. I don't see me needing to get another one as I take special care of my stuff and when it's time to put away for the summer I'll repack it like when it arrived. That is how I take care of my suff.

Blown away by the "Like New" quality! Great experience
So I ordered this from the "Amazon Warehouse" as a "Like New" item - It arrived today and I am so happy! A little prefacing - I have owned many of these Crane tear-drops (like 5 or 6) and they are really good at what they do. Usually I end up dropping and breaking the tops so that's the only reason I had to replace two over a few years. That's my fault and totally on me, but I wanted to explain my "experience level" for these in general, believe me when I say I know what to look for in terms of how it's supposed to work, etc. So with that being said, I am so pleased to say that this came out of the box truly "like new". I honestly cannot tell if anyone had even put water in it before or plugged it up! The plug and accessories were still in their -sealed- plastic, so it makes me think that whoever returned it before just didn't like the color or something? Anyway, the device not only looks new but operates as new. I had one of these previously wear out because I didn't clean it enough, so I know first-hand how much mist these are supposed to put out new vs old-used & not cleaned. Honestly, if you gave me this as a present and didn't tell me it had been used before, I would have believed it was a brand new never-opened item. It's that good. I don't mean to sound cheesy about it, but I've really had some bad experiences in the past with "refurbished" and "like new" items, I am just so happy that I took the chance and it turned out to be a good experience. And the price- the price was on point! I saved money and I am happy. Thank you whoever warehouse guy/gal checked this out and approved it for resell. Because of this experience, I feel refreshed about buying used items and knock on wood that I'll continue to have jackpot experiences like this.

Don't Waste Your Time 🙄
The first Crane 4-in-1 humidifier I was sent was in filthy condition and did not work from when I first plugged it in. I contacted the manufacturer and was instructed to return the product to them and they would send me a new one. They did, and this worked for maybe six weeks. The second humidifier turned itself off in the middle of the night. I took it apart, cleaned everything and left it out to dry for two days before plugging it back in, and it started working again. Two weeks later, it turned itself off again. I repeated my clean-and-leave-to-dry process, but the humidifier continues to not work - and by not work, I mean the humidifier is plugged in and there is no power indicator light at all. It has completely shot craps. Do not waste your money unless you want to deal with Crane customer service for two months straight just to still end up not having a working humidifier 🙃 I'm going back to buying a regular old-school humidifier and a separate sound machine so I don't have to run a white noise playlist on Spotify from my phone all night.

Easy Cleaning
I've used a Crane Drop humidifier (always 1 gal, I guess 1.0 and 1.1?) for many years and my biggest gripe with it has always been the pink slime that's impossible to completely remove from the tank, even with flexible brushes. Finding out that the 2.0 is a top-fill with actual access to the interior of the tank gave me a giddy feeling. Initial impressions: 1. Having the mist channel moved to the exterior of the tank with a removeable plate is nice, but not necessary. I suppose it does look better visually not having it running through the middle of the tank, but I never had issues with cleaning the central channel. Any bottle brush worked fine. My second Drop (model 1.1?) had an annoying grate over the reservoir side of the channel where calcium would settle into the crevices. I tried to remove it with cutters and failed. A rotary tool with a cutting wheel would probably work. 2. Night light feature is pleasing. You only have the option of Red, Blue, Color Changing, or off. I quite like the violet one and wish it was an option. But mostly I'm glad it's possible to have no light. The older models had not only a continuous light inside the tank, but a power light indicator over the dial. The power light turns off after severals seconds on this one. 3. No burbling as the tank releases water into the reservoir! I haven't really examined the mechanism by which this is possible, but I appreciate it. After so many years, I'd gotten used to the random burbling in the older model, but those who prefer the quiet will be happy. 4. Three output settings. Ok, I can see some people being a little unhappy to be losing the ability to fine tune the output using a dial. I always found the dial a little slippery when my hands were wet from refilling or just moisturizing. My only disappointment here is that the maximum output of this model doesn't quite meet that of the older. During this particular cold snap, my Crane 1.1 was able to push up to 45% RH when the heaters were nearly on constant. This one is getting to 41-42% with an assist from a portable desktop model. 5. White noise feature. I'm going to pass on this. It seems entirely superfluous and the quality of those recordings/speaker is just ick. If that's a feature you like, you do you. 6. Detachable power cord. !!! I have stepped on the the power insert more than a few times during regular cleaning of the base. Ouch! The durabilty of the cord remains to be seen. It's not a usb type, so I'm not sure how easy finding a replacement would be. 7. Vapor Pad Tray. This is new. I'm prone to headaches from strong scents, so I won't be utilizing this feature, but I know many people will appreciate having scented mist. (I believe it is still not advised to use essential oils directly in the tank.) 8. No hand grip for tank placement. With it being a top fill, the grip had to go. It can make placing the tank on the base a little tricky. I think a lot of the complaints regarding leaking probably come from not properly setting the tank into the base Overall Rating: 4 Stars We'll see how well this unit holds up. My 1.1 unit is near 10 years now. Disappointed that the max output hasn't been carried into this model. I'd rather have that than the white noise or night light features, but I am excited for the easier to clean tank.

Absolutely LOVE!
I’ve used a variety of humidifiers and nothing beats this one! I don’t usually leave reviews, but being someone that has bad allergies, I felt it was important. The thing I love the most about this is that all of the parts come off so that you can really give it a good cleaning. I can stick my whole hand in the tank, the barrel comes apart on the back end to clean where the mist flows out of, so that you can clean it. It’s Genius! I see how the tank and basin can get after a week, and think of all of the other humidifiers that have hard to reach tanks…. Absolutely gross! To know that you can’t get in there and clean it throughly is extremely unhealthy and I would never consider getting another humidifier. I’ve had this one for two years and it still runs great! I’ve gifted it to all of my friends who were mom’s to be as well. That’s how much I love it!

Quiet and easy to fill and clean
This is the third Crane humidifier of this style that I have owned in the last ten years. This one is much improved over the earlier models. The feature I like best about it is that the cord unplugs from the unit making it very easy to take to the sink and fill. It is easier to clean, holds more water, is very quiet and you can choose to have it completely dark. If you are looking for nice white, this is not it. The quietness of these humidifiers is what has made me keep buying them. They only seem to last for several years, however, and noise does increase with age until I break down and buy a new one. The first one only lasted two years before the noise got to be too much to sleep to, the second one lasted nearly five years, by turning it on 20 to 30 minutes before retiring so it would get past its noise stage for the night.

Works well.
Does the job. Easy to fill. Works well. Runs quietly. We were given one and this one is our second one. We have one in each bedroom.
