Excellent Desktop, Productivity & Gaming Mousepad
Mousepad: Artisan FX Hayate Otsu Ninjablack Gaming Mousepad (X-Soft) (Medium)Mouse: Logitech G502 LightspeedBeen using the SteelSeries QcK Gaming Mouse Pad - Medium Hard for close to 10 years, I've gone through about 6 of them in that time. The usual problem that occurs is bending, then your mouse just slides all over the place, you set it down & slowly watch it move on its own, without this problem, it would probably be the best mouse pad I've ever used.Moved on to the LTT Northern Lights Desk Pad, a cloth mouse pad, to get rid of the possibility of bending, same price as the SteelSeries QcK, but while the material is not abrasive, it feels nice, but likes to put on the brakes when dragging, forcing you to put some extra muscle in your movements, and if you have wrist problems, they will flair-up.After weeks of research, I came across the Artisan FX Hayate Otsu Ninjablack, more specifically, the x-soft, medium size, which was perfect for my desk, the bottom sticks to the desk quite well, no unwanted sliding around, it has a textured feel, but not abrasive, to my surprise, the mouse glided over this thing much like the SteelSeries QcK, but with better control. If you want the easy glide, don't press down on the mousepad, if you want better control, just press down on your mouse.Since I'm older now & the decades of gaming has given me carpal tunnel, I can say that people with the same affliction or weaker wrists will enjoy using this mousepad, without having to worry.Since everyone's different, I can only say, this mousepad has been perfect for me in every way. Highly recommended.

Overhyped and Overpriced
Let me start by saying there are some good pros about this mouse for a cloth mousepad. I usually hate stitching on the edges as I have sensitive skin and it irritates me very easily but these did not bug me whatsoever. It is very thick and comfortable to rest your wrist on. Another pro is just how planted it is on your desk. Once you place it down, it will never move until you pry it off. I still wouldn't recommend it though. It is very expensive. I really hate how hard it is to clean. I tried cleaning it and honestly felt like I did nothing when I did so. It gets dirty easier than any mousepad I have ever owned before and it did have a negative impact on my mouse's tracking. I tested this by switching out the mousepad with the same mouse and the same place on my desk. With this mousepad my mouse skipped quite a bit and would have pretty bad camera spins. With my 3 year old Roccat Hiro, none of that whatsoever. How thick it was actually took a while to get use to and hurt my wrist at first. I did get use to it but going back to my Roccat Hiro was a massive relief even after getting use to it.I wanted to like this a lot after hearing all the hype about this brand but for how much it costs it is just not worth it, especially if the tracking is compromised by any form of dirt, dust, or sweat that gets on it. I just don't really see a point to getting this mousepad or any for that matter when there are hybrid mousepads like the Gigabyte AMP500 and the Mad Catz Glide 19. They are far better for tracking, easier to clean, and more comfortable.
