INSPIRED TECH 6275 Masking Tape Applicator

I am a contractor and paint is a service we offer. I have always taped everything by hand. no longer will I spend a second longer than needed with this! its as quick as can walk and mechanically perfect. needs some tinkering to set it up right. so dont give up.

Simple and easy to use. Saves a lot of time.

This has the potential of being a great product if someone would actually use it and then fix short comings.I read the comments before ordering it and several cited lack of loading information without the packaging. So I carefully saved it. Even with the instructions and packaging it is not easy.The tool is bulky and awkward to use. On flat horizontal surface it is great and even around doors it can be made to work great.I taped a room that needed recessed windows taped and many feet of ceiling and beams to be done. For inside taping it is almost useless. It doesn't even work well as a tape holder. I found it was easier to do the windows by hand.For the ceiling it was extremely awkward to do from a ladder. It takes 2 hands and leaning out to start a run then taping was a pain. The cutters worked fine except it seemed like one was always where one or more of my digits wanted to be.When you use the cutter to cut the tape the end of the tape would go back into the tool and require re positioning after each cut (see comment about the ladder above).The finishing brush worked great to seat the tape but only on one side limited the direction of use.

I painted two buildings, cabin and garage, with two coats; one primer and one final coat this summer. I used an airless sprayer and rolled the coats down while still wet. I had to mask everything and quickly found that an initial line of painter's masking tape followed by the 3M plastic masking film made masking a whole lot faster. This little device allowed me to quickly tape a straight line around windows and doors; up the left side, across the top and down the right side all in one shot. It works from left to right which may not work in all situations or for lefties. it isn't clear form the markings on it or the construction as to how it should be used, but the directions help. The bottom line is that it saved enough time on two buildings to pay for itself.

Makes taping easy, simple but need to the corners by hand. works good around door frames. if you dont want an expensive Masking Tape Applicator this is it...

Excellent tool but the cost of bringing it from U.S.A. is excessive.

My husband was very excited to get this since we were going to be doing a lot of painting. After watching a you tube demonstration and directions he was unable to get to work as advertised. Returning it!

Saw this being demonstrated at a home and garden show and thought it was amazing. After seeing it was on amazon for $15 less i decided to buy it here. Does take less time then doing it by hand but still does not make it as easy as they want you to believe it does.
