Great Resource and very informative.
Adobe Flash Professional CS6 is a program beyond words. Your designs are only limited by your imagination. Because this is such an epic program, it needs an epic training manual. My Classroom in a Book copy definatly is. The lesson structures are very easy to navigate through. It's concise yet very informative lessons allow you to tackle this MAMMOTH program head-on. I would even recommend this book to someone that has yet to use the program and has no expierience in web design and development or graphic design whatsoever. Myself, having a masters in web design and development including a bachelor's in graphic design, would give this bhook an A+. I'd only give all the competing books of this type a "C++" (pun intended! ^_^ ). Another good thing about it is it was written and composed by the very people and company that wrote Adobe Creative Suite 6 to begin with. For those people that want to create the most advanced and creative web content ever, but dont have the know how to use Flash, this book is for you. The only negative remark I would leave about this piece of literature is this: the lesson files have not changed really at all from the Flash CS5 book (the previous volume in the educational series from ~2010). Most of the textual content is also the same or very similar like it was just copied and pasted. I mean at least create new lesson example files... One last thing is that I believe that this book should COME WITH the Flash CS6 software package...I mean it IS $800.00. Or at the very least, it should be included in the Adobe Creative Studio 6 Design premium bundle or at least the master collection, (which happens to be $2,899.00). I mean, I dished out that kind of money, I should at least get these volumes for a free or very reduced price. Overall though, great book for an amaing product!!!!

Excellent learning guide on the basics
I am new to using Flash Professional and after going thru the lessons in this book which by the way are dummied down to the lowest level which is great, I truly gained a better understanding of the layout, tools, and functions that flash offers. For those that want to know all the ends and outs of Flash this book will not help you there but instead will walk you thru on how to use the program and prove to be a great resource later down the road.As a side note I'm extremely ADD so if this book held my attention and taught me something it must have something going for it.

Decent book IF you need one
Good intro to Flash if you need a book (and still use Flash) I had this for a course so the book was a requirement. The lessons are well thought out and cover a variety of topics in order of increasing difficulty. Recommend this book for beginners and some reference. The internet is a better teacher in many ways but this book was also a big help. Recommend.

Prof prescribed the book.
Nice pick prof! Easy to read, not complicated at all. It didn't cover a few things that I got from other media sources, but for a beginner, this is a perfect book. Now if you are in the later chapters and you know what AS3 is by now... you won't have any brilliant ideas unless you have a programming background. AS3 is like Java, so if you have done some serious coding in Java (not js) or C++ you will rock when purchasing an AS3 bible.

Just the Ticket.
I purchased this book for an understanding of Basic Flash programming. I was able to make from beginning to end my own E card! The Text book comes with individual lessons that can be downloaded to your computer and follow along with the text book at your side. Mine is Actually A KINDLE Fire HD download.!! Love having my kindle sitting on the desk while working with projects on my monitor. It makes it so easy to follow along or page back.

Like This book.
I bought the Kindle version of this book. I had no problems downloading the course files. So far I'm at lesson 4. So far I have no complaints about the book. The book explains everything so far that I can understand. I'm amazed on what I can do in Flash CS 6

This book is not updated for Adobe Creative Cloud
The book is ok but is not fully updated for the version of Flash that you get with a Creative Cloud membership. I thought CS6 was the most current version but according to this book it differs from what you get with Creative Cloud. I've used other Adobe products so I know how to fish around and find the tools and properties that have been moved but a true beginner will get stuck.

It's ok
I purchased this book for school. My biggest frustration with these books is that the writers already expect the user to have knowledge of the software. I did not. It was helpful, but I found myself looking up things in other venues quite often. I wish there had been a little more information on ActionScript, since that's the scripting language used with Flash.

Have worked my way through this book twice now and ...
Have worked my way through this book twice now and about to rewrite it for my daughter to simplify it for her. ActionScript to the novice is a daunting challenge, but slow but sure after 6 months I am beginning to understand the world of coding!

Excellent and comprehensive manual on Adobe Flash Professional CS6
Very clearly written and an excellent source of information for Adobe Flash Professional CS6. If you're serious about using this application, then this is a book very well worth having on your bookshelf.

But anyway this is a very good book for intermediate to advanced and very helpful for ...
Both of my local library's and the Central library didn't have this book in stock at all. the most recent programming book they had was from 5 years back. (Boy are the councils killing the libraries). But anyway this is a very good book for intermediate to advanced and very helpful for students from GCSE upwards.
