Wheel thrown stoneware teapot with added spout and handle. The lid has a knob handle for easy lifting or holding while pouring. The glaze is a rich brick red with an accent of a slip glaze that results in a caramel effect on the shoulder, spout, lid and handle. Warm the pot with hot water, pour out, add tea or tea bags, then fill with boiling water to steep your tea. The stoneware will keep your tea warm to the last cup. The teapot is dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended to protect the handle and spout from damage. The teapot can be put into the microwave, with care, but only infrequently. Do not put the pot directly on the stove top burners. The glaze is lead free and food safe. Dimensions- 9" wide (spout to handle), 5" high, capacity 16 ounces (2 cups or 500 ml).
