I think it should. I don't know if it's waterproof though. You could try rubber cement too.

Yes. It works well on any wires. I have used it for phone charging wires too.Be sure to work it well as directed. Also, they aren't kidding about the paper towel clean up. Wipe your hands with towels when done & then wash.

if i open a packet and only use half is there a way of preserving the rest to be used at a later time?

You might be able to vacuum seal the unused portion. >> never buy more than you need since this stuff expires over time, even in a sealed (new) package. <<
