The air tight glue is not there in the package for a reason, either this is not the original dee zee maybe

Smoooooth
Aside from the cable getting pinched when you open the tailgate, this is super cool and quiet. I love being able to just drop the tailgate. Like I said, the cable seems to get pinched but just for a moment and the weight of the tailgate pulls it free.

Simple install but missed lock tight
Overall the install was relatively simple. I found I had to adjust the cable support differently from what the directions said as the cable was getting caught on the hydraulic arm. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it was missing the lock tight that was supposed to come with it.

Perfect mod
This is a must have for tailgates. My tailgate now lowers on its own with a nice controlled speed. The most clear and accurate directions I’ve seen in years.If you can’t follow these instructions, you don’t deserve a truck anyway.

Works perfect!!!
Takes about 15min including gathering tools, would've cost more to add on when I order the truck (2023 Ram 2500 Cummins Lone Star trim)
