Kryptonite884 Keeper 5 S2 Motorbike Cycle Disc Lock with Reminder Cable - Yellow

The lock came very quickly. But the bike was stolen right outside my home and I didnt hear a thing of them breakong the lock. I did not expect this to be so easy to break. Unfortunately I would not suggest this as a reliable lock against thieves.

The lock on this disk lock had always been a bit gritty, even after heavily lubricating it - unlocking it always took a couple of tries and a bit of brute force. Today, after only four months of owning it, it completely gave up, and I had to take a hacksaw to it. I was rather surprised to find the hacksaw cut into it very easily - the metal is very soft. Definitely not up to the quality I expect from Kryptonite.

This is a very good disc lock especially for the price. Two guys just tried to steal my motorbike a couple hours ago. They used a hammer to bash it off but was unsuccessful. I would definitely recommend this product.

I tried to pull away forgetting it was on , just a causal take off and it broke, I hit the tarmac and bike on top of me 😂 all my own fault yep I’m a sausage. I was surprised how easy it broke though, as I said normal take off, so I’m guessing if that’s all it needs then it might not be the safest, just something to consider before buying, , if the seller reads this , yes I would take a replacement if you offer me one😂🏍🏍. Any visual deterrent is better than none . Don’t do what I did and use the wire that comes with lock at all times, I’m over 50 and the memory is going 👍🏻

Bought myself a Honda PCX125 (2019 model) a few weeks ago and found that the old disc-lock I used to use on my motorcycles had too big a pin to fit the scooter, so I bought this..... With its 5.5mm pin, it fits my scooter perfectly and seems like a well made lock. It came with a reminder cable although I'd have preferred a little carry pouch for it instead, but that's just me.This is the second Kryptonite lock I've bought in the last few months (the other was a bicycle U-lock & cable) and I'm happy with both. It won't stop a determined thief, nor prevent my scooter being lifted into a van...… but I live in Edinburgh where the thieves are not that determined, and not that strong!
