excellent replacement
When the original broke I never thought I would find a direct replacement and perfect fit but there it was. I was afraid I would have to buy a complete new Unit for $25 but found this. Just a sturdy as origional.

Be Aware/ Quality item But....
This was perfect for my Lanai door, very easy to replace broken one, Be Aware.. SAVE all the OLD SCREWS this item is not equip t with screws, Great Value!!

Works for Screen Porch type application
I was hesitant to go with a plastic bracket but this item is sturdily built and the door works fine with it in place. The door closer I received came with a right angle classic bracket so this was needed for my aluminum frame construction. Would give it a 5 but how much does a molded piece of plastic actually cost?

The needed bracket had a greater angle than 45 degrees. However this bracket worked out perfect!
I was able to combine this bracket with a storm door pump from Rona, plus I installed a safe chain to the top of the door and the frame to protect the pump from opening the door too far and damaging the pump, which was the original problem that had damaged the pump.

Good for porch enclosures with no door jamb
I purchased this plastic lanai jamb bracket for my porch enclosure that does not have a door jamb to attach a regular bracket. My only qualm is that it does not come with hardware nor does it tell you on the packaging, the size of screws required. I hope the plastic is sturdy enough for a windy day.Update:Used for almost a year and has held up well even to strong winds. Highly recommend.
