Best cutter of carbon ever seen
Been shooting for decades, ok over a half century but who's counting? In that time many products have come and gone. Some have been diluted by the govt's regulations and are now less than before in being effective. Enter the M-Pro 7 Bore Cleaning Gel (and spray) onto the scene. Here's what it does, and also what it doesn't.What it will do:It will pull carbon out of a bore faster than anything I've seen.It will remove burnt on carbon from stainless steel like around the forcing cone and frame of a revolver. I have never found anything that did that until now. Amazing. It will raise lead up out of the grooves in a bore and lift it enough to be caught with a brush in several passes. It will kill any corrosive element in the bore. Even Black Powder residue. It will clean with the lest amount of waste of solvent and get the job done faster than with many other cleaners made.It will remove all traces of oil, cosmoline (spelling?) and other caked on dried junk on weapons that have been neglected.=================================================================================What it won't do:It will not stink up the house for those that have wives that complain about smelly solvents. I could care less at my place, but there are many that are always looking for something that won't offend the Mrs.It will not remove any copper above that of a trace. It is not designed to do so. For any copper buildup one most use a copper remover. M-Pro 7 makes one that is pretty good too.It will not remove heavy rust, but will remove surface rust that is forming from exposure. It can be seen when cleaning at times when humidity is quite heavy and the weapon is exposed more than normal. It will not provide any protection of metal once used. It strips away all oil and leaves the metal very clean, but also very bare. I use their LPX oil for weapon oiling and full wipe down for protection from the elements.==================================================================================So there you have it. I have to admit I am impressed with it's ability to clean my weapons. The fact that it can pull all the carbon burnt into my Smith 629's frame and cylinder facing is simply amazing. From a lead shooting 45-70 to a 30'06 that puts some copper in there with some bullets, to even my BP weapons and revolvers, it gets them clean right. And I am very hard to impress when it comes to my weapons care. I'm a fanatic about it and always have been. M-Pro 7 products have made me less fanatical as they work great and make it easier for me to clean.

M-pro Rocks my world!!
this stuff is great!! just like the spray but thicker and easier to clean the bore. using the spray, I tend to use too much but with this different applicator and consistency, I feel like I use a more appropriate ammount and feel like it sticks to bore better to really get in there and clean well. At first I wasn't impressed with the M-pro cleaner (in the spray) but once I followed the directions and left it to soak for a couple mins and I completely turned around my opinion and bought another bottle of that and then bought this as well. I also use the copper remover and the LPX and those are great as well. I do wish it was cheaper but it does last quite a while and it makes cleaning a lot easier and don't kill brain cells.

Works great in Arizona heat to clean a 3 gun bore.
I shoot 3 gun in Arizona and have used TONS and TONS of different oils. Remoil works well, but burned off in the heat of fast shooting. Frog Lube seems awesome, but it gummed up my rifles. Fireclean - well you should just by cooking oil and save yourself the money.....M-pro 7 gel works with the oil and seems to keep the bore very clean. The patches come out dirty, which is a good thing. I have noticed that the first few shots (after cleaning) throw fire, but that's to be expected. Overall, this is a great way to clean your bore.

Oderless, does a good job but not magic
Good product for keeping the barrel clear of carbon between sessions. It is not magic but it is something you can use in the house as it has little to no odor and will not get you wife upset. Barrel will still require periodic deep cleaning with something J-B but good all around cleaner.

Great surprise!
A friend had this hype about these products, he bought a complete kit and was pushing me to do the same, but I was not too enthusiastic since I had all sorts of cleaners at home. He insisted so much I got to think he was getting an amway-type of commission or something. One day after shooting I mentioned to him at the range that the only thing I did not like about guns was to clean them, specially revolvers since it was troublesome to get those black "O" marks from the cylinder, he laughed and gave me what was left of his bottle of MPro7. Got home, and used it, it is sort of a thin gel, not really a gel, but thicker than a regular cleaning fluid. It allows for you to apply it to the dirty areas and let it do its job for a few mins, after that, just plastic blush and all those ugly black "O"s were gone! before I had to pass the brass brush for a while, this time it was extremely easy, and the product is relatively odorless, now I am a believer...will but a cleaning kit, plus an extra bottle for my friend.

No better than others, pricey
This works fine, but not really any better than other bore cleaners from Hoppe or others. RGS works just as well. You'd think someone would come up with a bore cleaner that would remove plastic residue. The gel is a plus.

Good stuff!
Love the gel. This is the only (new age) product I have tried that doesn't leave an oily film in your bore that you can't get rid of with umpteen dry patches. It is great to have on the go and particularly at the range with you when you are breaking in a barrel or testing and fine tuning hand loads. The gel is a lot less messy as well.

Ive read the reviews on some other products that were claimed to work better than anything else available
I have used Hoppes for years , and some other lesser known oil and bore cleaners ...Ive read the reviews on some other products that were claimed to work better than anything else available .... well THIS M Pro stuff WORKS . I cleaned a new , unfired barrel on a Glock 23 that I had previously cleaned with Hoppes . I used the bore cleaner , ran a patch saturated with it down the barrel bore , let it sit for about 5 minutes . Then I ran a clean patch down the bore and it came out black where it pressed into the rifling grooves and a little black around the smooth bore area . Unreal . I don't have a clue what makes this stuff different , but it works and Im only using it from now on .
