LED Bulbs, 60 Watt Replacement, 8W, 800 Lumens, 6 Pack, Soft White (2700K), Non-Dimmable

I was contacted and asked to check out a sample set of LED Bulbs by Vivid lighting. Being a fan of LED bulbs for years before they became mainstream and already in the market for them, of course I accepted.The daylight (whitish/bluish tint) bulb is in my opinion is best used outdoors or in a garage/work area, It looks nice outdoors and lights up the area without being obnoxious. In comparison with a CFL daylight bulb, the Vivid Lighting bulb was much brighter and lite up the area much better. Indoors, it still is a nice illumination but it tends to mess with color, I prefer using soft white which Vivid also has.The thing I like best about this bulb is that it is instant on, no wait for full brightness while it warms up. The bulb is fairly cool to the touch after prolonged use. This is a relief as I bought a 4 pack from Home Depot and the run very hot, to the point where you can burn your fingers if you touch them while their in use. This prevents the use of these bulbs inside fixtures as it could be a hazard. Luckily, the Vivid Lighting Bulbs do not heat up like that and I'd feel comfortable putting them inside a closed fixture as well as open.Finally, aesthetics. This bulb is an attractive replacement for the twisty CFL style bulb. It doesn't look bad inside of a fixture where you can see the bulb. Maybe I'm just used to the old school energy hog incandescent bulbs, but CFL's don't look to attractive exposed. These LED bulbs are the closest you can to "old school".All in all, this bulb is a sure bet and I plan on buying more to replace the rest of my outdoor lights. I won't feel so guilty about leaving the lights on all day anymore with the 8W per bulb!

Color is what you'd expect tho could be more vibrant given the name. Regardless, have had the bulbs for a few years and they're starting to flicker. Not amazing, better brands out there that can last the full watt hours listed

Even though I received this product free in exchange for my unbiased review, after carefully reviewing the light bulbs, my overall plan is to replace all the light bulbs in the rest of our house using VIVID lighting!If you haven’t heard, the feds put a kibosh on the manufacture and import of the standard incandescent light bulb in 2014. Energy efficiency was the impetus for the decision, and this LED product illustrates just how energy efficient these alternative bulbs are as compared to their predecessors.According to manufacturers, the VIVID bulbs have about a 22-year lifespan; calculating the numbers, it comes out to about .96 per year in energy costs. Yay! A price I can actually afford.First impressions are everything, and they are presented in a package that is not only attractive, but also does not not cut corners and uses durable cardboard and plastic. The bulbs inside the box live up to the tough packaging on the outside. They appear to be made of super thick material and look like you could drop them and they would stay intact; though I didn’t put them to the test!We were going to use the pair of bulbs in the hallway light fixture, but, lo and behold, one bulb did the trick, as you can see from the attached photos. We ended up using the second bulb in the garage. To me, the Daylight and the Soft White emitted about the same amount of light—a perfect amount as far as I am concerned.With everything considered, I glowingly grant Vivid Lighting LED Bulbs a luminous five-star review!

I purchased six of these for my wife to have in the master bathroom. Six of these at 5,000K each is just too much. It's ridiculously bright in the bathroom now.I voted these as two stars because I didn't like the end result, which was too bright.However, if I had bought six of these at closer to 3,000K, I think we would be very happy with these bulbs.So, two stars for the 5,000K bulbs, but probably five stars for the ~ 3,000k bulbs, which I'm buying next.Yes, these are very much like true daylight as the description says.One last thing. The heat from these light bulbs is wonderfully low. If your bathroom gets hot because of the bulbs, try LED -- they're great for low heat.I added some pics to help explain, but I don't know that the photo represents how bright they are. Notice the regular light, from above and in the hallway, compared to the LED lights in the bathroom.

I used these bulbs for maybe an average of 6 hours a day (all 6 bulbs installed one room and used equally)... Exactly 2 years after I purchased them, three of them died (all within a week of each other)... I did not use them anywhere near the 22 years/25,000hr life span that they claim.... I assume the other 3 are on their way out as well... we shall see.

I received a sample of two 8w (60w replacement) VIVID LED light bulbs. One was daylight and the other was my favorite - the soft white. Daylight has a cool feel to it that was not ideal for my living room. I like cooler lights for outside. The soft white is perfect for indoors and gives off a warm feel. I used it in place of a similar powered CFL and it was noticeably brighter. I like that these VIVID LED bulbs are not as breakable - the bulb is made of plastic. The CFL bulbs I have are all glass and I've had a couple break when replacing them (one fell off the counter and smashed and another ripped from the base in a very small light fixture that was not easy to get at the base, whoops).While the initial cost of LEDs are higher than CFL, they last significantly longer (estimated to be 24,000 hours vs 10,000 hours of CFL), have a lower operating cost, and aren't as prone to breaking. As my CFLs go out, I will be replacing them with LED. These VIVID LED light bulbs are great and I'd absolutely recommend them!I was provided a sample of this product to review.
