HOW NICE not having to lug empty water jugs to the store weekly! I’ve had my ZIP for 2 weeks now and am SUPER happy with it. Easy to use, looks beautiful in my kitchen, bonus: I can see my water level unlike my neighbor and her stainless rig. I use a plastic water pitcher to fill the lower tank because when it’s full, it’s FULL and difficult to carry in my old hands but I’m already used to that routine so it is perfectly fine for me. I keep tap water in the lower tank so whenever the filtered upper tank is empty, I just push the button. I LOVE this unit! Reverse osmosis is THE best drinking water hands down in my opinion and the opinions of a lot of research. I keep a gallon jug of water filled on the side for cooking when needed (I use about 1 gallon of that a week) and another half gallon in the frig.BONUS: Minerals are returned to the water!Pros: Super quiet. Easy to use. Looks awesome. Taste is clean and crisp, not dead like distilled water. Press lever in for small amounts, flip lever up for continuous flow. Easy to clean BPA-free plastic tanks. Tap water went from 158 PPM to 14 PPM! (Discard tank water was 301 PPM.) FRONT LOADER which means no need to pull the entire unit out to fill from the top like other brands! Pretty blue ring light on front which turns colors for other statuses. Super easy to remove both tanks for filling/cleaning. Heavy and sturdy quality. Never slides around. Fits under my overhead cupboards.Cons: Drops a couple drops of water when you remove the lower tank but that’s not a deal-breaker whatsoever. Tank could be bigger but I’m still in the honeymoon stage where I’m enjoying setting it up and watching it run. Just two of us here so I’m averaging 1 tank (half a gallon) a day and sometimes two. It just becomes part of our routine and is easy and fast to set up another batch. Nozzle is only 8 3/4 inches high so the average pitcher won’t fit under it. Only filters half of 1 gallon, the second half is poured down the drain.

Update - changing from two stars to one, the plastic spout broke. The rocker that locks the spout is just plastic so it will break. The company did send me another they have replaced the plastic rocker with metal inside the plastic so it was a design flaw. At least they sent me a replacement, but they should just make it out of all metal. The alkaline filter is very hard to replace, you have to hook up a hose to it with a weird connector. The filters are expensive, a big reason I am changing the ratings is the company charges $25 for shipping. If you buy it here they jack up the price by $20. I understand it does cost to ship, but not $25. On top of that, they also want you to insure the shipping for another $7 or else they are not liable if it doesn't arrive.I don't know why so many five stars. To me, its like the designers never used the product.One of the reviews has a picture that looks like they dismantled it to show the insides. I thought wow, they went to a lot of trouble. No, that's not it. The button on the front is on a plastic mounting plate that has screw heads that fit into slots behind the mounting. It comes off ALL THE TIME. The spout, which you assume is durable metal, is chromed plastic. Not what I would prefer at this price, but its OK. The issue is the spout pushes up the mounting EVERY TIME you flip it up to allow a stream of water. So I am always catching or pushing the plastic mount down when I get water. And what is the purpose of the plate coming off you may ask? - its so you can take the top tank out to clean it. The top tank is the one that has the PURIFIED water ...... how often do you have to clean a tank that only holds purified water? Compared to every time you get water and the front coming off? If they made the spout look decent, they would not even need the plate - it is just empty space that covers the spout, and has the button on the outside on the front of it. It is mostly empty space. I suppose it might be good if you ever have to replace the button. Just make a good button instead.The button on the front is lit a nice blue, only you will rarely see it blue. You will see the kind of sickly yellow (opinion on color - but yellow generally means something is wrong or slow down).So I am giving it two stars because I think for over $400 they could have designed it better. (If they read this and respond I may raise it up). But think about it, its a pump, with filters. Filters they will charge you for when they need changing and they make more money.

Arrived packaged well and in 2 days. No damages to the box. Upon opening, I found cracks in the corner of the back panel and stress fractures where one of the screws goes in as well. I called and left a message that evening since it was after work hours. The call was returned within 2 days. Customer service was very helpful and attentive. I asked for another back panel and it was delivered in 1 day! Great customer service. However, after the arrival and installation of the back panel, I realized the stress fracture was caused by the metal beam on the top to hold the filters in place was slightly bent. Really didn't want to send back the item for the slight bulge in the back where I can't even see so I tested it for functions. Very easy to use. Fill water to the line, plug in, and push the button. That's it. Water tastes way better than filtered pitcher water. If there were any complaints it's the minor design choices. The button panel comes off way too easy as I'm filling my pitcher. It' sits on screws and not locked in. The knob wiggles a bit but works fine as intended. I wish the top pitcher was at a slight angle so all the water would drain entirely, but that's my pet peeve with any water containers that sits in a machine. I also lay down a towel under it to catch the small drops of water from the intake valve when pulling out the bottom pitcher. Also for when I make the mistake of taking out the bottom pitcher before draining the top pitcher from the overflow valve. It seems the overflow opens when the bottom pitcher is removed?! Lots of water when that mistake is made. The towel also helps with sliding the machine to the edge of the counter to fit a tall pitcher under the nozzle.
