Great Dehumidifier for Small Spaces
The machine is great. It is quiet, small, and pulls a surprising amount of moisture out of the air. We use this in a closet with an auto on/off cycle time so we don't risk over heating the closet space. This is the second product from Eva-dry we have purchased and would recommend their products.

Does The Job for 138 ftยฒ Bedroom
Context of my use: - received June 7, 2024, - I use it in my bedroom which is roughly 138 ftยฒ - My bedroom has an ac window unit that I run constantly when I am in the room (5:30pm-6:40am) Before I got this product, I would wake up and I feel wet, sticky, unpleasant. With this little dehumidifier, I donโt wake up that way anymore. One morning I woke up to that again and saw that the unit was full and it had turned off sometime during the night. I cursed myself for not noticing the previous night and emptying before it got to max capacity. But it just made me realize how effective this thing has been. The review: The machine is very quiet, and I only hear anything small hum when I turn everything else off in the room - and even then itโs barely audible. I think that it removes enough moisture that I donโt feel icky. Does it remove all the moisture in the room? Not by a long shot. Do we want that? No. So this guy works for what I need. If I were to want to upgrade, I might do after a year because I would want to know how it works in the winter as well. But for a starter - this works fantastically. The tank size is good, especially for the size of the entire machine. Itโs very easy to take out, empty, and reinsert. During the hotter times, I found myself having to empty it more frequently than I thought I would, I think every couple days I need to. I think this is because of how much moisture is in my room- which Iโm thankful heโs doing his job well! Since it has gotten cooler again, I have had to empty it a little less. Usually Iโll notice the tank getting pretty full and empty it proactively, but there are times when I see itโs shut off so I do it then. Iโm glad that it auto shuts off so that it doesnโt overfill. I do wish that there was more indication that it turned off such as a red blinking light or a little noise. But thatโs just a personal preference for my next upgrade. Overall Iโm very pleased with this purchase so far, which is only a couple month use. It fit my needs exactly, and I will update if something goes wrong or one year passes, whichever comes first. This product might not be for you depending on your room size, how much liquid you want to remove from the air, and the season; but for my needs it fits the bill perfectly.

Does what's expected for a decent price
I live in Kentucky, a somewhat humid area of the United States, and I originally lived in Arizona/California all my life. The humidity was killing me here so I started looking for dehumidifiers online and came across this one. Before I bought this dehumidifier I read the reviews on it and decided it had enough positive reviews for me to at least try it out. Many of the negative reviews I read were about that it didn't really seem to do much for some people and now that I have one I understand why. First of all, the dehumidifier does what's expected of it for the size and strength of it. What I mean by this is the device is pretty small when compared to house-sized dehumidifiers. Because of this not only does it not move as much air through the house as a bigger one would but the part of the device that collects precipitation is also smaller than on larger devices. This means that not only is it designed for a smaller area (one dehumidifier probably covers 200-400 square feet) but it won't get the humidity out of the air very well without running it 24/7. Second, I think many people expected this dehumidifier to be just as powerful as the big $150+ ones but you should expect to get what you pay for. This dehumidifier is strong for it's size but it isn't as powerful as larger ones. As I said I live in a very humid area and the dehumidifier drops the humidity of my house to about half of what it is outside. On a given day we may have 80% humidity and this thing drops it to about 40% but if you're living in a place that only has 20-40% humidity you won't see as much of a change because the device will only drop the numbers in half. Lastly, the device is pretty quiet as many people have said and overall I like it because I live in a somewhat small apartment and it does what I need it to do. Ultimately I had to buy two of these devices because like I said they seem to only cover about 200-400 square feet. If you're looking for a dehumidifier that will work well and not make a lot of noise this is the one for you but if you want something that will completely dehumidify your house you need to look elsewhere for something more expensive with more power.

Served it's purpose preventing bathroom mold and mildew with healthy humidity level
I bought this about five months ago and have been using it continuously ever since. My boyfriend and I live in an older home and so things like bathroom fans just really aren't up to par. Our master bathroom (only calling it that because it's the bathroom off of our master bedroom...haha) Doesn't even HAVE a fan. I lived with him for about a year and was constantly struggling to keep the bathroom mold and mildew free. I knew it was unhealthy to be around but I couldn't for the life of me prevent it with typical cleaning products. I started reading more about the subject in general and what humidity percentage an area should be kept at to be in a "healthy" range and prevent those two gross little culprits. I realized that our only REAL option was to buy some kind of dehumidifier and thus began my search. When I buy things off amazon (ALL THE TIME <3 ) I scower products and reviews, pouring over reviews until I find something I feel confident in buying as well as satisfied for what I should* be getting for the set price. Obviously, this is the one I chose. I can say that I absolutely do love it and am thankful for it all the time, and now for a few notes: -There is a low humming sound but it's really not loud at all and not an annoying pitch so it's actually kind of calming in a sense if you like background noise sometimes..I can BARELY hear it from bed but it still helps me fall asleep. -LITERALLY no more struggle with mold and mildew. I still clean the bathroom regularly of course but now it's just standard cleaning and not at all comparable to the chemically potent scrubbing I did before. -It's small enough that we just keep it on the back of the toilet and it takes up maybe a third of that space, not bothersome at all. -It's super easy to maintain being that you can easily remove the reservoir (automatic shut off when full) dump it, slide it back in (clicks in place) and then flip the switch on again. -When we shower the bathroom humidity could easily reach the 90's (I bought the AcuRite 00613A1 Indoor Humidity Monitor to see how well this little guy was working) within a half hour of showering the humidity will be back down to low eighties, another half hour in the seventies, and then it goes at a faster rate after that-keeping our bathroom at about 40-60% humidity when not being showered in. Please note that we live in Georgia currently and these last months we've had says in the 20's and others in the 80's so the relative humidity effect s what it actually should be inside. Point being that this dehumidifier has served it's purpose perfectly by preventing mold and mildew and keeping our bathroom/bedroom at a healthy humidity level. (I saw bedroom too because the spillover from the bathroom no longer affects the bedroom) As far as I'm conerned, for the purpose I bought it for and the price point I think this product is awesome and I have no cons to write about it. Hope this helps! AcuRite 00613A1 Indoor Humidity Monitor

While this sounds great my other dehumidifier pulled that same amount in 4 ...
I had high hopes with this product after reading the positive reviews. However after 3 days I am returning the unit. In those 3 days, I had it running 24 hours a day in my small RV bathroom. In that time I got just over 3/4 cup of water. I ran a larger dehumidifier in the bathroom for 4 hours and got 2 cups of water. I also want to point out that we took multiple showers during the 3 days of the small humidifier but none during the 4 hours of the other dehumidifier. When you run the numbers over a week's time this unit should pull around 1 3/4 to 2 cups over 7 days. While this sounds great my other dehumidifier pulled that same amount in 4 hours. Obviously I have a lot of water in this room (as I keep a very close eye on my humidity) and obviously my other dehumidifier is much bigger, louder and stronger. However what I care about is a product that works. I need a product that keeps the walls dry and this failed miserably (even in a very tiny room 5 x 6 1/2 x 8). This unit is good for someone who does not have a humidity problem and wants a quiet (yes its very quiet) product that will make the air just a tiny bit dryer. This is not a product for someone that needs a dehumidifier to keep the walls from getting moisture damage. I gave this unit 1 star because I used it for exactly what they described it should be used for and it just does not have enough power to do what the job they describes it will. I don't even know how this unit could have done some of the things other people have claimed considering my room is as small as it gets and is obviously very wet as evidenced by the 2 cups I pulled in 4 hours. I hate to say it but this might be one of those items with false reviews paid for by the company to boost sales. The picture shows water pulled from this dehumidifier in 3 days on the right (3/4 cup). The 2 cups on the left came from my other dehumidifier in just 4 hours.

Great small room dehumidifier
I purchased my unit in 2015 and it has pretty much been running non-stop for 10 years since I bought it. I live in Florida where humidity can get upwards of 60% inside, and keep it in a small back bedroom. I run it be extra precautious on humidity levels in bedrooms that are the furthest from where the HVAC unit is. This unit works great to pull humidity out of the room, filling up on average every 10 days to 2 weeks. It's not meant as a replacement for the big units that have compressors, this is just for smaller rooms and works as I expect it to to pull out what it can from the room. It seems to only really have a 1-3% effect on pulling down room humidity levels. I checked on it recently and found that all the LED lights were off on it, and the water tank was barely half full. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that it appeared unpowered. Long story short after some diagnosis I discovered the wall plug transformer went bad. It was pulsing 9v vs a steady 9v power supply, and opening up the transformer I discovered the electrolyte capacitors were bulged out meaning it had gone bad (see attached picture). There are replacement power supplies you can buy for it, but I opted for a variable volt one that lets you add your own power supply wire, and cut the cord from the original transformer, wired it up, and got it running just fine again. Very pleased with the unit and likely will buy another for another room.

Great dehumidifier with some flaw
I had this machine for nearly 9 month. It collect great deal of water, and I am very happy about that part. If you live in apartment, it is just a perfect size. If you try to set this one up in basement or large room, tank might be too small. But for NY apartment, they are perfect size and very quiet. The major flaw of this machine is not unit itself. But, its power switcher(whatever they called for AC adapter) I happened to bought 2 unit, and one of them already failed. Turned out, it was power switcher that failed and unit are both still functional. After reviewing other people's comment about similar problem, I suspect it is frequent occurrence. Thus I will rate this one 3 star for cheaply made power units, and seemingly impossible to find replacement. Otherwise, I would have given 5star. Update August 2009: Few month ago, I ordered 2 more unit about the same time friend of mine ordered 2 units for herself. It appeared, they changed supplier of AC adapter. Newer version AC adapter seemed to operate better than older version adapter. Will see in a year or so. Update September 2009: My other units AC adapter broke. So as far as 2008 model are concern it is 2 out of 2 poor AC adapter units. Since their website are now online. I had contacted customer support telephone number listed on their website. After little talk with customer support, I bought 2 replacement AC units with price of one AC units. Supposed to get those shipped in a week. Anyone who bought this units in 2008/2009 before they changed AC adapter supplier should contact customer support if those units went dead within a year. Update October 2010 : First 2 units I bought back in 2008 broke almost at same time... probably within week. So, this product's main unit has life expectancy of about 2 year. Not too bad for this type of device given underlying technology for this type of device is lots more complicated and delicate than noisy compressor based device. this type of unit's life is most likely determined by condenser or semiconductor on its circuit board, and since semiconductor part will be continuously exposed to excess heat and humidity, I might be harsh to expect life beyond 2-3 years.. Mine does looks like condenser fault than actual fault on heat exchange semiconductor units. And two units died almost at same time, my guess is it was caused by same faulty condenser units.

works for me
I had a condensation problem in my RV. One of the RV websites said to get one or two small dehumidifiers, so I checked around and found this one on Amazon. Received the product and have had it almost two months now and it works great. Condensation (the enemy of RVs and contents) has been greatly reduced. Here's my observations on what worked for me. Don't expect it to take the moisture out of the air as soon as it happens, that's just not realistic. If you want that you need to spend the $$ and get a big noisy unit. This little guy works on the slow but steady plan and can get overwhelmed at times but eventually catches up. I have to drain the reservoir in mine every day or at most every two days. Mine runs 24/7 unless there's a nice day and I can open up everything. Sometimes while cooking when the outside temp drops quickly I get condensation on the windows but in a few hours it's usually gone. Keeping drapes and blinds open makes an obvious difference. Placement of the unit is critical. I experimented and found that if you put it in a corner it is not going to work well. My RV's kitchen is in the middle and I have it on the kitchen counter out from the wall in roughly the middle of the RV. Is it in the way? Sometimes, but it's doing the job and that's the measure of success. Sometimes I have to move it when there's lots of kitchen work but I put it back as soon as I can. It does make a big difference. I've read that sometimes 2 units are necessary and I will probably add a second one (30' RV w/slider) because while the condensation in the front bedroom & rear bath is reduced, there is still more condensation there than in the middle (main) room. Another thing I do is keep the closet/cabinet doors that were the biggest condensation offenders open which is sometimes a pain. But condensation in my book/DVD storage cabinets and in closets is not good. Before I bought the dehumidifier I discovered the condensation in damp books and found a couple of mold spots on my favorite leather jacket. I cleaned it, put it right back in the same closet and now it stays dry 24/7. If you want to keep the cabinet/closet doors closed all the time even a big noisy dehumidifier isn't going to solve your problem. If the dehumidifier can't access the air in a closed cabinet/closet, it can't dehumidify it. That's just life in an RV. I noted some complaints about the noise, however I found the unit to be reasonably quiet. That's probably a personal thing, some people just don't want any noise at all but this unit is quiet for me, just a very quiet background fan sound. There may be large production variations on an item like this. It is made in China with cheap parts and labor costs and product uniformity suffers from that. I also noted some comments about longevity but I'll have to edit my remarks if the unit quits too early. So far I am very pleased with this unit. I'm OK trading some inconvenience in return for getting rid of a nasty problem.

Funciona como lo prometiรณ

Quiet and Efficient
It supports 220v input, so you can plug it right into indian sockets. Very quiet, i can hardly hear it in the same room. Using it in a <100sqft bathroom. When ambient humidity is high >80%, it fills up the container in 2 days.

Really good product.
Considering this was imported and I paid only for what I ordered, this was a good buy. It is doing its job really well. I already had a voltage converter plug, so didn't have to buy a new one. But if anyone is going to buy this, be sure you buy the voltage converter too. Wait till the product arrives to confirm the plug pin it has. The customer care gets in touch with you to confirm these things which is an amazing thing to do.

If I felt like I got what I thought I was getting.
It seems that this works great as it is actively collecting water so we are happy. Small, quiet and practical to put in a cupboard even. Thank you!
