This is truly the cutest scratcher. The color is bright and it is made very well. It is very sturdy! My larger cats have tested it and they love it. They love the design, they hang on the little branches and they scratch several times a day. It’s definitely effective and fun for cats. The height is accurate as stated. I sent one to my son and his wife so their cat could enjoy one too!

As soon as I assembled this post, and assembly was a breeze, taking all of five minutes, the cats were all over it. They love the toy at the top. It has an elastic string and they really enjoy the bounce back. So far it's held up really well against our aggressive nail sharpeners (2 teenaged males). Our last scratching post only lasted three months. My only complaint, and the only flaw I see, is that it is incredibly easy to pull over. It is pulled into its side multiple times per day. I have tried to keep a side of the base under an ottoman to secure it as best I can, but they still pull it over. It's not heavy, so I don't mind standing it back up, but I do wish it would stay in place. Overall, very happy with this purchase and would recommend to others, as well as purchase again when needed.

[EDIT] This was supposed to be 4 stars, so I've fixed that. Also, the cats seem to like this. I saw one sleeping on it the other day. In fact, she's resting on it, right now. No one's gotten stuck on it again, so I guess it was just a fluke.[EDIT] I bought this to stop my cats from scratching up the furniture. One of my cats has a habit of drinking water from the water fountain and then casually walking straight to the couch and scratching the side. So I bought this cactus. At first, I thought it was great. All the scratching of the chair stopped in favor of scratching this. However, every time my cats scratch this thing, it moves around. Why in the world would they not make the base heavy enough so this wouldn't happen? Today, one of my cats got stuck on it, because she couldn't get her claw out. I've never seen that happen on the cat scratcher on the tree, so make of that what you will.

This is the fourth time we have ordered this post. This does sound like it might be of bad quality but it's quite the opposite. We have a rumbunctious little indoor cat who goes completely crazy on this post and destroys it within about a year. She absolutely loves this thing and she uses it several times a day. I love that it is small enough to stand in the hallway without being in the way and it's easy to move when we need to. The tree itself is very sturdy, it's easy to assemble and while it's light-weight, it doesn't tip over when our cat jumps on it. The reason we end up having to replace it is the sisal rope at the bottom of the trunk. She tears and claws at it until it comes lose and then keeps pulling it away from the post and gets into the cardboard underneath. I am more than willing to replace it once a year and not have to worry about our furniture.

Between the sisal rope and the fuzzy cactus “arms,” it’s handled a LOT of scratching. The top looks a little wild now, but that’s just from constant use — the structure itself is still solid. No wobbling, no unraveling that affects the stability. ✔️ Actually attractive in the house I originally bought it because it was cute; the cactus design made it feel like décor instead of basic cat furniture. Even now, with years of wear and tear, it still looks charming and makes every room feel a bit more playful. ✔️ The cats truly love it They scratch it, climb it, rub their faces on it, guard it like a treasure, even nap beside it. It became “the” central scratching post in the house without any effort. Seeing how much they use it over everything else makes it absolutely worth it. ⚠️ After 2 years… yes, it looks worn But that’s normal for something they use every single day. The important part is that it’s still stable, functional, and their favourite place to scratch. If anything, its worn look just shows how much value we’ve gotten out of it.

but really, my cat couldn't care less - this was really for my own enjoyment, pretty sure my cat would be happy with a cardboard box. I LOVE this cat scratcher though, its a good quality one and looks fantastic in my lounge

Yes, this is the better quality one some of them out. There are kind of junkie. This one is a really good one. Buy one for every room, especially the rooms. We don’t want the cats to scratch your furniture put the cat scratching post near the furniture and they just use that instead of your furniture.

Our cat loves this scratching post, but it couldn't withstand her claws. The rope started to fray pretty quickly and eventually started to unravel entirely. After going through 2 of them, we opted to try a different brand. That being said, still a good product for the price.

Wow ! Entertainment assured ! HaHa ! Came fast, super easy to put together, very stable and super cute ! My 2 1/2 months kitten was not sure about it at first, but I put a toy mouse and some other toys on it and pouf ! It became very popular ! At 20 bucks, don't hesitate, fun in sight ! Note, in my opinion for kittens only. I'm not sure it's big enough for an adulte cat. Enjoy the buy !
