Toddlers will love this book. It’s all about their world. Each page has a photograph of a First Nations toddler engaged in everyday activities such as sleeping, eating, and drumming. I love that “I see me drink” has a photo of the toddler breastfeeding. There is a space on each page for parents to translate the words into their own language.I did find the phrasing a little odd because when you’re reading to a child, “I see me eat” doesn’t make much sense since it isn’t them in the picture. For toddlers, I would change the wording to “see the baby eat.”My fifteen-month-old grand daughter loved this book. It is very difficult to find books that very young toddlers can connect with so I was pleased to discover this little treasure. This book is suited for 1 to 2-year-olds.
