Good viscosity. Seems like it will stay in place. It comes highly recommended by a machine shop known for high quality work.
Good viscosity and seems like it will stay in place. Nice volume for many projects. It was recommended by Tim Morgan of Morgan's Machine and Marine as being good quality with good results for break in and also being something that wouldn't break down if the engine was stored up to a year. One caveat is that there seemed to be a thin film inside the lid that wasn't lube. It had a gummy/gluey consistency. I wondered if that might have been part of a coating or sealer on the foil lid liner that didn't play nice with the lube. Anyway, I wiped out the lid and went ahead with using it.Perhaps Red Line would care to comment on what that sticky film was?

Long lasting and flexible
I have used Red Line for a long time and it is wonderful. There are equally great assembly lubricants out there and I'm sure they work as good or better, but I stand by this 100%. The reason why is I was building a Ford 511 and the top end parts I wanted were on back order for 5 months. Well life happens, and after I got the parts it had been a year. So I figure darn.. I am going to have to open it up , clean all the old dry lubricant out, then lube the cam and crank and cylinder walls and do all the measurements and torque again. But nope! The Red Line was still there, in perfect condition and didn't drip at all into the pan. That saved me time and money and gave me piece of mine.I also use this assembling transmissions and it doesn't clog the fine filters, and never has caused any issues.Initial startup of a rebuilt engine or transmission can be very hard on the parts you need to use something you trust, and I trust Red Line.

Recline Assembly Lube
This assembly lube is easy to use, and easily stays in place. Great for building high end racing engines, stays put, and does not dry out, even if left for an extended time.
