Ears Open Eyeballs Click "Chapter One" - Receiving

This film focuses on the faces of the recruits as they are immersed in the Marine Corps. It has no plot, no central character, and no real focus other than the men themselves as they struggle through the process of shedding their civilian selves to become Marines. Shot in a documentary style, it follows one group through the process. Their faces tell the story.I would have liked to have seen a little counterbalance to the recruits. The DI's are merely tempest that storm through the frame. Although fearsome, they come across as being pretty one-dimensional. But all in all, Ears Open Eyeballs Click gives people who have not experienced the rigors of boot camp a very honest, first person view of the journey.

I'm giving the DVD itself 5 stars. Its a great look at what goes on during those first 24 hours off the bus. I'm giving the seller 5 stars for shipping, delivery and refund of damaged product.The DVD was unfortunately returned due to the last half of the whole DVD being so digitized and crackly, it was just unwatchable.I would buy from this seller again as my purchase was received and credited with exceptional speed.

There's nothing like revisiting old memories. This was exactly what this DVD did for me.I can still hear my DI's telling me to "Never quit and to never give up". I still remember the first time I met my DI's in our SquadBay. Not the mention the fear I felt once I got off the bus at MCRD-SD. You can't go into Boot Camp all over again, but this is the closest you'll ever get to it. God Bless the creators of this film, for letting a Devil Dog revisit his old memories.

I bought this to watch and show people some of the good times I had a boot camp. It brings back such fond memories. Especially getting ited till you puke and have up keep going.

This movie is great for those who are enlisting in the Marines. It gives a taste on bootcamp life but leaves enough out so when you go to MCRD your still surprised.

Very realistic and informative documentary. I wish my son (who's going into the Marines), would watch it more so he can know what to expect.

Showed a bit of a different experience from when I went through boot camp but still enjoyable to watch. If you are a Marine you will understand why.
