NurtureCALM 24/7 Pheromone Collar for Dogs, 23"

I recently got a new rescue Pomeranian. She came to us with a lot more issues than we were told about. She was very anxious and reacted aggressively when she was anxious. She would hide under the dining room table then growl, bark and bare her teeth at us when we walked by. She would also often have a hard time settling down. We had a behaviorist trainer come to our home and she suggested this collar along with a natural calming supplement, melatonin and lots of exercise. I have seen a HUGE difference in our dog. I'm not sure if it is the collar or a combination of all this plus the training we've been doing but she is no longer the anxious ball of fear aggression she used to be. She has become sweet and loving and while she still sleeps under the table sometimes, there is no more growling or snapping, she barely looks at us when we walk by. Don't get me wrong, she does not seem "drugged" she still has a very playful, excited demeanor, but with her anxiety being lessened that side of her has been allowed to emerge while her angry nasty side has subsided considerably to the point where we rarely see it anymore. We've only had her two months so this is very impressive IMO.

I have a dog with anxiety. He is a puppy, and he frequently destroys things in our home. I've purchased other calming collars for him and decided to go with this one as it was less money. Normally, the other calming collars have had a HUGE impact on his behaviors. However, this one had ZERO impact for him. He has continued to have severe anxiety, and he has had challenging behaviors.In short, save your money and buy a different brand.

We have a rescue dog who is very anxious, timid, and paranoid. This collar really helps take the edge off her anxiety.It's subtle because we are talking about a dog's energetic and emotional state, but we can tell when the collar is wearing out (they are good for 1 month) and when we need to replace it. It works, and I am surprised that it does.For people who have bought and HATE the other pheremone collars from a different brand because they have a horrible synthetic "lavender" scent, this collar does NOT have a scent, even though it says on the box that it does ! When I got this collar from Amazon and saw that it too is scented (the scent made me downright sick) I called the company and asked what the heck ? They said that although it was printed on the box that it is scented, it actually is NOT and that was a mistake on the box. They were right--not scented !

These collars make a huge difference for my dog. I have a 3 yo male mix who I just adopted earlier this yr. He had very limited known history and some reactivity problems. I have been using these collars for several months now and they have done wonders for his anxiety and reactivity. Now, the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because one of the collars I received seemed to be defective. Within a week of changing the collar my dog had reverted to his old anxious behaviors (with out any other changes in our routine). I remembered reading another reviewer commenting on a similar thing and sure enough that new collar was more of a shiny blue instead of having the white powdery look on top of blue that all the other collars had had so far. I put on another new collar and he was back to his happy self soon after. The good collars work well enough that I will continue to get them despite this one blip.

I don't think this really worked on my dog. She gets anxiety and i thought i would try this out to see if it made a difference. I think it was just a waste of money.

Bought the collar because both my dogs a border collie and pomeranian go nuts during thunder storms. Works better for my border collie than my pom. My border collie is much calmer as long as I have her lie down and put my hand on her. My pom is another story - he still will not calm down in a thunder storm. I've tried thunder shirts too - nothing works for him - poor guy.

This has helped so much. My little Papillon's anxiety was giving me anxiety. He seems to have OCD. And he was shaking and crying so much of the time, and he'd bark at every little noise. If I bump something in the next room it can set him off. We could never have the windows cracked open because then he could hear the neighbors even better. We had some luck with calming treats, but they upset his stomach. So we tried this collar last month and there was an immediate change. So much less barking, can even have all the windows open, and so much more tail wagging! He's been a lot happier, but also the first few weeks both my dogs were very sleepy. I think the pheromones were affecting my mini Dachshund too - he wasn't wearing this collar, but they share a bed, etc. I felt like they were too tired and sluggish, so I tried removing the collar...within 1 hour, all heck broke loose and I remembered why he was wearing it! Anyway the last week or so they've been a bit more energetic while still staying calm. I think either they're getting used to it, or its effectiveness may be wearing off, since it's time to replace the collar. I wish I could find something without side effects, but this is a life saver so I'm buying another.

Our dog experiences a lot of anxiety both in the car and when there is a lot of loud noise. Our vet recommended this collar right before 4th of July when our awful neighbors were setting of fireworks every single night for hours at a time. 15 minutes after putting this collar on our dog she settled down and even went under her blanket and went to sleep... WHILE THERE WERE FIREWORKS GOING OFF! We've been using these collars for about 6 months now and we're very pleased with the results. I was skeptical when we bought the collar but I'm so glad we tried it. We feel that it's a much better option than medicating her. I would just suggest taking it off and storing it in a Ziploc bag when your dog doesn't need to be calmed. It is less effective after a while if they wear it all the time. Also, it definitely needs to be replaced after 30 days.
