STAT!Syringe First Aid to Induce Vomiting in Dogs (Without bottle)

I've had a puppy in the past that would chew and eat socks. Once I knew what was happening I was rushing him to the vet and all they did, be induced vomiting. Then they'd say I could have done this at home. So now here is a product that can actually help us and there is no guessing since the measurements are all on the syringe. Tip of the syringe is made of silicone so it is very flexible where it won't cause harm in the puppy's mouth or gums.Only issue I have with this is I am unable to remove the silicone to clean it out since I know bacteria may collect in between. Only reason I gave it 4 stars other wise I would give this a 5 star. This product does not only come with the syringe but also detailed instructions on what you will have to have on hand. Since I consider myself a helicopter mom of my fur babies, I have a backpack with all the first aid essentials that I keep on hand at all time. This is in no way to say you do not need to take your pup to the vet, but it will buy you some time. Anytime I travel with my dogs I take the backpack with me. Just like an emergency bag for us humans. Although my dog did not need the peroxide I did test it to see how my dog would take to the syringe and the ease of it being put into their mouth. I also put water into the syringe to test the ease of the flow should I need it. It is very easy to control the speed as you dispense it into their mouth.I received this sample. Easy to read and use! Just make sure you purchase hydrogen peroxide to keep on hand as it does not come with any. I wrongly though it would come prefilled. It's still a great product and live saver if you need to induce vomiting for your pet. Make sure to closely read the instructions for when and when NOT to induce vomiting! For some chemicals or ingested poisins, vomiting can make it worse causing harm to the esophagus and internal tissues, especially if it's caustic like household chemicals /cleaning products. For those emergencies, an emergency vet must be seen ASAP as they can more safely remove the contents of the stomach. After a costly trip to the vet ER because my small dog snuck yogurt covered raisins off the kitchen table, my home will never be without one of these! It will help buy you valuable time, in certain situations, to get to the vet for treatment. Even certain foods can be harmful to dogs such as grapes or sugarless gum. That is when this product can be life saver! Just make sure you keep your hydrogen peroxide handy and full the syringe to the appropriate weight size. It takes the guessing game out of a very stressful situation! A very small price for a lot of peace of mind!

Although I never wanted to actually use this item, when I had to force my dog to throw up, the process wasn't too bad. Read the instructions before use, be familiar with what you need to do before actually needing to do it. Forcing her to throw up easily saved what could have been invasive surgery.

Luckily I have not had to use this product, however I think it's perfect to have if you have a puppy or dog who likes to eat everything. I have a lab puppy and he loves to pick up everything and try and swallow it. I'm always paranoid thinking he's going to grab a battery, or a sock or anything. Having this on hand gives me ease knowing that I can intervene and save his life, god forbid, if needed. For such an affordable price, why not have it? :)

We have a Golden that eats everything. Already used it. Works the way it's supposed to. As with people, be sure what ever was eaten won't do more harm to bring back up (i.e. not something caustic or sharp). I see there's a link for uploading photos. I'll skip that. :)

Fortunately, we have not had to use this product yet, but there's a relief in knowing that we have it in the house for emergencies. The product is sturdy and compact enough to fit in the first aid kit. Directions are included and it appears to be easy to use.

Hope I never have to use it...but just in case!

Always good to have for emergency if a vet isn't close.
